Went out exploring more of the Czech countryside today. Got a little over ambitious seeing as I've not done that much riding lately!
You know you've picked a good route when you start thinking "ooh, thank god, a flat section...' and then look down and see 8% on the Garmin
Held up before I'd started
Kadan in the distance
Kadan town square
On the dam in Kadan
Didn't check the phone often enough and ended up with no where to go and a few km to go back
Made a new friend, Jacob. He was keen to talk. No idea what about.
After that the terrain got more serious and my enthusiasm waned...

I particularly enjoyed the glimpses of the MkI Escorts, the MkIII and MkIV/V Cortinas, the Sierras and the Capris.
Massive PITA if you were stuck in a car but not heading for the National Motor Museum, though.

The first Mk1 Rally Escort passed me earlier near Lyndhurst, was mint. I particularly enjoyed the glimpses of the MkI Escorts, the MkIII and MkIV/V Cortinas, the Sierras and the Capris.

[OT - sorry]
Is that a Hoy Sa Calobra 003? How are you finging it? It's on my list for the N+1....(S-1).
thanks!

I've not got much to compare it against, what with it being my first road bike in 25+ years, but I've been very happy with it.
Only issues have been the fork recall (which to Evans' credit was dealt with very well) and the seat post clamp made of cheese which I've replaced with a Superstars one.
Everything works as it should, the geo seems spot on for me (although I need to change the saddle) and is staying together well. Wouldn't hesitate recommending one to others.
Some stunning pics on here!
So on Monday I went for a short ride and the valve split from the inner tube...and I didn't have a spare (29er tubes hard to find around here!)....and I was 3 miles from home!
So I had a nice long walk back and had time to take in all the bluebells that have popped up!

Taken at the bottom of the Bealach yesterday before our ascent.
We encountered hail showers and a strong head wind at the steepest part.
I am new to cycling so found this absolutely horrific, stopped once for pics then one stop as I thought I was going to collapse. Made it tho and definitely my biking highlight so far. I had only climbed in total about 2000 metres in all my previous rides so over 1600 in one ride was a challenge to say the least.
Looking back from near the top-
Made it
Just noticed how little I had taken from my bottle, no wonder I was struggling!

That's excellent R1gtr. Well done. Lovely place.
Thanks Gretchen, enjoyed it despite the difficulty, entering the race over it at the end of the month. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, would recommend cycling up here to anyone, even if you (like me) are not a climbing fan
