Ooh. I didn't know Brands did that... Is it a frequent thing?

It's run by a local (Kent) charity

Tis once a year. Not sure if there are other events though.

A couple of views from a quick training ride in N London this morning. Ally Pally, Muswell Hill, Highgate Hill, and Highgate West Hill. In 2 1/2 weeks I do a start from Edinburgh to London.

A schlep in the other direction today, over towards Findon & Long Furlong.

Little bit of movie trivia. The road in the first pic was the location used in Porridge during scenes of Fletcher's wife visiting Slade prison, so Sussex used as a backdrop for Cumberland.

The weather was looking average here for yesterday, so I slung the bike in the car and headed down to the Italian border in search of sun. Rode from just outside Lugano down to Como, along the lake and back over the biggest climb I've ever done. 85k in total, and I need to get a lot fitter!

Stopped for pizza in Como

Great that the Police closed the road to allow it to happen without causing conflict with drivers, too. I'm sure that, if it had happened on an 'open' road, there would have been a drama at some point, as many non-cycling drivers, and even some who ride, might be entirely unaware of the purpose of this memorial ride.

I disagree. There's no such thing as a wrong turn - just routes you haven't yet found. smile
