Could have been worse... wink

I'd suggest a non see through bottle but like the mudguard I think you'd stick with it. Although my camelback chill has the advantage of a cold drink for a bit longer.

Habitually, I throw a few ice cubes in the bottle, seems to work. But bike apart, I'm not that fussed about blingy stuff for riding, it's a cheap bottle but it works, so you know, I stick with it.

Weirdly, I've come down fluey since yesterday's ride. Time of year for it I guess.

A few oddities in the car park at the coffee stop today...

That's a 5.7l Chevy engine in that bike!

Then this showed up, a guy builds them locally, this is the sports model with a 50" gear.

Not from today but these were taken in Bolivia a few weeks ago while I was attempting the Lagunas Route from San Pedro de Atacama to Salar de Uyuni. 4,650m above sea level, -11 degrees C, 100kph winds, dust storms, no tarmac and lots of corrugated tracks / soft sand. Oh, and just for good measure, all our water froze.

Here's a quick picture of me fingering my gash. Only a mile into a ride to test out my new clutch mech as well, doh.

Offcamber Mountain bike Race Round 1 near Blandford. First ever race, great fun! Came 8th, pretty chuffed, up against some much shinier bikes with big wheels!

Just a bit of messing around on some prototype fat bikes this weekend. In conclusion.... epic fun, feels like you're a kid again!

All from last week

This guy bagged his dog's turd up and left threw it on the path on his way to the visitor centre, why he couldnt carry it and bin it I do not know, but anyway, the turd ended up on his roof, hopefully he will learn a lesson.

Staying at some Forrest Holiday cabins near Strathyre and took a ride out to Killin and back, just a couple of pictures:

Taken just coming into balquhidder:

View out across Loch Earn:

Cracking day, slightly spoiled by being bitten by a dog further up the cycle path (second time thats happened now). But still managed my biggest mileage to date (42miles) on an old mountain bike completed in 3hours 30, so pretty chuffed.

…followed by the best cycling trophy I'm ever likely to win: I beat Mark Cavendish in a sprint!

At the #OakleyMilestone launch after a mate one a competition to be there. Then we show the ultimate bad form and beat the Manx Missile on the day hehe

A quick jaunt up to Church Point, Pittwater, looking across to Scotland Island...

And stopped at Curl Curl to watch the swimmers in the pool battling the surf...
