Looks like a good trip - I've been meaning to explore Craik forest for year, I did realise that there are mountain bike trails there though!
They seem to have a couple of routes one red and one blue from what I can gather. Unfortunately at the moment most of the paths and trails around the main carpark area are closed due to tree-felling & landslides, although signs did indicate that they were expecting them to be re-opened around the end of November.Certainly next time I;m back down I plan to go further up into the forest, seems the trail I was on will take you up through that way anyway. Well worth a look.

It was particularly slippery - wet leaves over wet chalk don't give up a lot of grip!
It didn't escape my notice that if I came off and broke my leg I could be there a looong time before someone found me - especially on the last run which was in near darkness.
Really shouldn't go and ride these places alone

Yeah, sorry, i let you down on this one..... (to be fair, my woburn late arvo ride was terrible. I just wasn't "in the groove" at all, and repairing to the pub in Silverstone couldn't come quickly enough!)You can see from you video where the grip just disappears in a few places. Still, you get a great run up and off a few of those large kickers ;-)
Not at all mate - it was hardly planned long in advance
All of my riding since BPW has been on my own - usually there's other folks about and you end up chatting - but there was absolutely nobody about yesterday so it was a bit daft in retrospect.
Those big senders are really nice once you summon up the courage to hit them fast enough. It is funny how flat and slow it all looks on a camera.

Singletrack photo with mates today. Rode along the Wayfarers to Watership down, down Ladle hill and home. 30 miles and 1960 ft climbing in the clay bog on a rigid singlespeed is a good harder than dry ride.
Don't look at the ebay £3 klaxon. Bit less subtle than a dinging bell and gave about 300 yrd warning to walkers of our appearance :haha:

Just had a quick ride through the woods in Coventry today, this was the only photo I took:

Not from today's ride, but fairly recent...
Just made it through to solid ground!
That'll need a clean when it gets home...
...so will that.
Red flags were flying. I stayed out.
Hmmmm? That was deeper than it looked...
...whereas these looked plenty deep enough.
Fear not! The shirt washed clean, first time.

Obstacle- this wasn't across the trail last week! by Lewis Craik, on Flickr
This tree wasn't across the trail last week, must have been a casualty of the hurricane earlier in the week.
