Oh crap, I hope you are OK. Did you get the details and report it? How bad is the damage to the bike?
The bike survived pretty much unscathed. I dropped my shoulder when I realised the merde was going to hit the fan, and my arm and shoulder took the brunt, my ribs got clattered by the wing mirror. The funniest thing is, that it was being driven by 2 nurses. The car behind them was 2 doctors from St. Richard's. You couldn't make it up. No harm done, I'll get over it.http://www.strava.com/activities/214303262

Yesterday's (afternoon) ride...
...started off nice enough, but soon descended into a wet one, at one point even a potential washout.
But I rode on anyway. At least until pedaling effort increased, and output reduced.
That stick will be why it's harder to pedal, and it's making that funny noise. The chain is no longer running on the jockey wheel properly.
And after the thick end of three hours getting soaked, and caked in mud and road spray, the sun decides to come out, just long enough to mock me as it disappeared beyond the horizon. Grrr!

You're not....
...
...
...David Blaine, are you?
No, not David Blaine. (But GPS drift on my Strava feed sometimes has me "doing a Moses" across a local lake)
The photo was taken leaning over the railings under a road bridge over the Basingstoke Canal in Fleet. I was trying to frame the shot better, so that the rain was more 'obvious' in the still image.

Obviously my shifting wasn't smooth so I had to buy an entirely new bike! (After buying a replacement derailleur I never fitted...)
