Offer appreciated, walm, but that Acera unit is a recent replacement/downgrade from the previous mech which had excessive play after somewhere between 5,000 and 6,000 miles (ish?) of almost entirely off-road use. The whole drive train (less the front mech) was recently replaced (on a budget), mostly like-for-like, but the rear mech was an unexpected expense and had to be done on the cheap. I'm waiting for a new chain in the post right now, hoping that I've caught it in time to avoid a new cassette this time around. Food for thought though. It wouldn't do any harm to have a spare rear mech kicking around in the garage 'just in case'? Especially a Deore unit.

Slight off thread, but can you get your bikes in the Yeti without removing wheels?

It's on my "to be considered" list as my next company car, but as I can get my road bike in the back of my current focus estate whole it has now become a very likable feature.

Bristol Brigand, one of the few cars that are significantly more ugly in the flesh than when photographed!!! IIRC the spare wheel was kept under one of the front wings!!

Yep. Both go in as they are, no need to remove anything. Not a bad car at all, but I'll be happy when I swap for a Golf R/new Civic Type R etc. I could get 2 bikes in the back of my FN2 CTR no problem as well...

Quick 12.5 miles before the F1

Hit a pothole about a mile in, quick change and away again. Was lovely out there. New cleats made a nice difference!

Beautiful winter morning in the lanes around Potters Bar. Crisp, damp, foggy and bright conditions made for an atmospheric ride.

From Saturday, did what was supposed to be a 65k MTB Marathon, but due to bush fires, it was dropped to 45k (and even that was bloody hard!)

Before the start on a borrowed hardtail!

Not exactly sure where I came yet, but didn't do too badly I don't think!

I had a day off today, so managed to get out in the woods for a bit:

A quick ride around the local woods by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

Slightly annoyed that Strava's auto-pause didn't notice I'd started riding again after taking this picture, so missed out two thirds of my ride.
