Cheers for the link Steve, nice to know (although as sad a story as it is) what the plaque is for.

Last month, not today, but here's me behind Stephen Roche in Mallorca. Certainly a memorable ride, particularly when he pulling us along at 50 kph on the flat.

No problem, I'm sure his friends and family would draw some comfort from the curiosity that the plaque raises.

Stunning backdrop to your ride btw.

Spent the day up and around the Wrekin in Telford yesterday.
Not the best day for it - really misty/foggy and somewhat slippy and muddy!

A great day though and a climb of 1000ft - the descent was fun! the single track around the base was good fun too despite the mud.
I was up there last night in the dark, admittedly I can get to the bottom with a 10mins ride from home. Not the nicest conditions at the moment and always a slog to the top!

Liking the jump pics. Looks fun!

One from yesterday. Stopped and paid homage to the Saints Academy - 3 x Academy boys on the pitch against Scotland the other night and 2 more on the bench, they're doing a lot of things right cool

Photos from the other day. Bloody hard work out there now with most of the forest tracks now turning to bogs!

Autumn leaves.

I rode up to Minley today, to have a look at the course for tomorrow's Merida Brass Monkey MTB Race Series (round 1). On the way up I saw this rather impressive display of autumn leaves. Turned out to be a really nice day, too, despite the rain that was forecast.

Col D'Tourmalet and Hautacam descents

Its not a picture, and wasn't today. But I've only just edited my GoPro footage from a September Pyrenees trip, and think it's come out ok.

The descent down Hautacam put me in the top 2% down there on Strava (out of 3000 odd riders). Not bad considering I wasn't pushing too hard!

Evergreddy that looks great fun! My kind of riding (downhill!!!). You don't have a write up anywhere of your travel itinerary etc for someone wanting to do a similar trip?

Only have a road bike.
Have wanted to ride a well known local off-road trail for a while.
Bought the cheapest reasonable mountain bike in my size off gumtree.
Few quid in parts and a bit of elbow grease.

Went and did it this morning. Most fun I've had on a bike in a while for the price of a round of drinks!
