I was out this morning. My furthest ride so far at just over 28 miles, I'm pretty pleased as I hadn't ridden for a good few years up until 12 weeks ago.

Where was that picture taken? It looks familiar

35 miles down the Grand Union & back today. Bit chilly. And muddy.

Time to get the winter garb out...

This made me smile on the way back

Went to mum's for tea & toast. She had no bread frown

Not sure how much use this was caked in mud...

Frozen lake at Richmond Park this morning, confirming what my toes were telling me. It's nippy out.

First time around the Wyre Forest today. Very cold but great to get out...takes a bit of effort for me to do it this time of year.

Chilly start in the Yorkshire Wolds but well worth the effort.

Came a cropper on black ice today. Very slight downhill and a gentle bend - went down in an instant. Jogger and another chap (who said at least it wasn't as bad as when he fell off his horse - so that's all right then...) checked to see I was ok. Decided to carry on for a steady 20 miles more and didn't feel too sore until I got home. Shorts ripped, but happy that my decent softshell jacket held up well apart from a tiny hole in the elbow.
First off in the 4 years that I've been back on a bike so not feeling too down.
Take it steady out there everyone.

What light is that? The beam pattern looks very good.

Lezyne Deca Drive.

Really happy with it actually, plenty enough output for the road, and a good spread as you can see.

Only downside is that its charged by USB and it takes ages.

Full moon from this evening's ride. It helped make up for the lack of output from my low rent front light, which has all the lumens of lit cigarette... frown

Clag fest that was the Wiggle Fallen Leaves MTB sportive around the South Downs today - excellent route but extremely hard work thanks to clay/chalk paste that covered almost the entire route! Never seen so many people pushing their bikes up the hills, once you stopped it was virtually impossible to start again.

I've not been out on a bike for over a week now. Pesky cold/chest infection just won't go away. Had to drive to work every day last week, for the first time in 10 months. This thread, plus the cracking weather outside, was driving me mad, so I went out and cleaned the bikes, even if I can't ride them!
