Yesterday's ride turned into a bit of a hike-a-bike epic!

It's taken a couple of days for me to find one but here I am shaming the PH jersey in my last cyclocross race of the season coming 25th. Not bad considering I had a suspected broken foot on Friday and went out drinking the night before!

Another video from me. Restricted pass yesterday so headed down to Moors valley for a few quickish laps of the trail. This was lap 3 of 4. Lots of folks using the trail as you'd expect, some nearly crash trying to get out of the way others take quite a lot longer biggrin

The faster you go the more fun it is, some brushing of the tress is inevitable

Not strictly from today's ride, but from the last few days...

5 days ago - can see the reservoir, but should also be able to see the ocean, rain was so bad I had to turn back, just could not see...

Then 2 days ago, I had great views across the Dam to Sydney - those spiky specs on the left-central horizon are in the city, about 10 miles away, those to the far right are in Chatswood...

Then yesterday, a nice peek down to Manly... Climbed up this one 3 times - seemed like a good idea at the time

I was all set to go out a few weeks ago on a Sunday morning and the snow came so it meant a day sledging with the little one instead. Fast forward to last week and I thought I'm out no matter what on Saturday....the snow hit again last Wednesday. None the less Saturday came and I went out from home in Hyde (Cheshire), across to Stalybridge, down the canal up to Greenfield, over the tops through Carrbrook/Millbrook and then over to Tintwistle. Wasn't much snow around at first, just mud, and lots of it! Got a bit higher though over to Tintwistle and it was quite deep in places making it interesting and hard work!

19 miles in all and the first bike to venture to some of it given the lack of tyre marks in the snow smile

Archeologists going to a dig somewhere, had some fun trying to get through the snow:

Woke in the middle of the night, fat bike ready to play, snow crisp and even, it would have been rude not to. It was fantastic, just the crunch of tyres of company on fresh snow.

Haha, nope, just a happy memory, which is what riding is all about.

Thanks.
It's a custom paint job from the Starley factory. I had to get permission to use the logos though, which was not easy.

Equalizer Sportive in Colchester yesterday, was a pleasant little route.

New bike not looking so new now!

I'm also rather jealous of this as a bike transportation solution...
