I know this will make me sound like a nerd but please sort out your bar tape. The gaps on the bend and the uneven gap between tape and stem.

45 mile loop from Liverpool to Oulton Park and back again. Training for the London 100 watched a bit of the bike track day too.

That's impressive. I did the hero ride at the weekend, 106 miles, a guy came past me on a fixxy, he finished in the top 5. I guess he is pretty fit.

I've been meaning to get to Oulton Park on the bike recently, did you have to pay to get in or anything or can you just turn up and watch whatever going on? providing there's not an official race on or anything of course.

So these are from today's (well yesterday's, technically, as it's past midnight) ride...

The fishing lake viewed from Suffield Lane, Puttenham Common.

Random byway through the woods somewhere in rural Surrey.

The "Sailor's Stone" on Hindhead Common. The Devil's Punchbowl is the valley behind it, and the dusty scar at the top right is all that remains of the 'old' A3 that wound it's way along the top of the Punchbowl before the tunnel made things better for everyone.

My bike at the top of Gibbet Hill, looking across toward Leith Hill in the distance.

A random wrong turn led me up this VERY sandy lane. Thankfully the deep, soft sand forced me to turn around before I embarrassed myself by turning up at some poor resident's front door. It truly was a 'road to nowhere'.

They allow free spectators for most stuff other than proper races. They have a calendar on the website listing what's on and if it's open to spectators. I'm gonna go quite often now, there's a good mix of events outside of racing.

Nothing too exciting today, just a little 20 mile loop out to Harefield. Taken at the top of Breakspear Road climb. I needed a rest!
