That Wheat on the right looks more it was taken in February?

Well spotted, after looking back on my photo's it was indeed from early March, my bad. I took one yesterday from the same spot which looks very similar at a glance. It's up the same road towards hammerton zoo.nice cycling roads.

Did the 50 mile version of my power station circuit today - 2 power stations (Eggborough & Drax)

This is about as close as you can get to a cooling tower on the route

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I must go down to the sea again
the beautiful sea and the sky
I left my socks and pants there
I wonder if they're dry.

Love the photo! thumbup

Wanted to put some proper miles on the old Raleigh today after treating her to a new chain, freewheel hub and the surplus rims from the Dawes which have been painted white and pin-striped to match the Milk Race Special colours. I also wanted to try out my new helmet which came courtesy of Cycling Weekly after having my Tour of Cambs letter printed! smile

Sadly my ride was cut short and I had to make the call of shame, much to my wife's displeasure! frown

Got a puncture on the rear only to discover that my 14mm spanner wasn't in the saddle bag... deeply frustrating...

I think, having stripped it off at home, I may have a defective tube? It would appear that there is a deformed section and the hole is basically on the very edge of this section, I can't find any evidence of the tyre being pierced or anything?!

I think for the cost I'll just bin it off and put a new one on?

Oh and for the leg shavers out there... This has got to be a pretty good reason for shedding the leg hair?! I must have eaten as many again of these bloody little bugs! smile (I'm still not going to though!)

ETA: Big shout out to the St Ives CC club runners who all gave a cheery 'morning' as I made my walk of shame through Alconbury Weston... smile

Sorry Swerni!

I hadn't joined the dots at the point I posted this (in my defence it was a photo from that day's ride just not my photo)

Got myself a Viking Jetstream road bike for £30 the other day! It needs some fine tuning, with the gears and positioning of handle bars etc, but it's an absolute bargain!
