Came across this family relaxing by the side of the canal this morning. They didn't seem to mind me taking their photo smile

Not strictly today, but last week.....

Nice evening for once

The little one getting used to pedals and a handlebar, not quite a bike, but getting there:

Then onto her first bike ride, she loved it!

After far too much slacking off I'm enjoying getting back out there.

Took my new touring bike out for a test.

It's more effort to get speed than my Allez, but the way it soaks up the road vibrations with it's 35mm tyres, I felt fresh after 40 miles.
I should have it dialled in by Saturday with a relaxed 100 mile trip.

Unexpected fallen tree by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

I wasn't expecting this fallen tree mid ride, may need to return with a saw to clear it up.

Hello,
would you mind letting me know which tyres you have? I'm looking for something for my commute for the winter, on my Revolution Cross. I'm currently using 25mm Gatorskins but by heck are they harsh! The Maxxis that came with it are a bit too offroad so I'm looking for something in between.
Many thanks

The bike comes with the standard Greenguard Schwalbe Marathons, not the pluses that are even more puncture resistant, but can be more of a challenge to get on the rim first time.
The tyres roll well, but comfort was the main priority for me as I have got into Audax's this year and am looking at doing a 400k ride before the summer's out.

Not quite the same as most of the recent ones and from a couple of days ago.

Had my first proper off since I started riding again, the back wheel just went from under me on a steep downhill corner, luckily its just bruises and some quite bad road rash but could have been worse as I ended up on the opposite side of the road.

I've hidden the images in case people don't want to see.

Very proud of my lad, took him for his first climbs into Ashdown Forest, went over the top down the other side and back up, he posted top 30% on strava on one of the climbs! (out of 2000+) Little bugger is gong to be kicking my arse very very soon!

Tal y bont reservoir from the Taff trail . Last day of a 3 day tour. Great fun, we may have drunk a couple of beers in the evenings.

Just back from a weeks MTB action in Les Arcs.

It was hot and dusty, but a whole heap of fun ;-)

Not so much today's ride as from the weekend...

6km in to a 40km ride, in frost-covered western Sydney, my mates rear hub shat itself... He had a gentle jog back to the car, while the rest of us carried on for a couple of laps

Yesterday managed three laps of my local circuit, about 40km and 800m of climbing in muddy, slippery rocky stuff - not terribly relaxing, but great fun. Local Council have done some maintenance and it works a treat...

Usual stop for coffee - terrible winter we're having...

And the yet-to-be-cleaned bike - doesn't look that crusty compared to riding around wet forests, but a high proportion of you can see is sand, and it gets in everywhere... And have detected a slight knock which I think is the bearing at the lower end of the shock, so a full strip down is due. But not this week.

Magic thanks smile
I was considering the Marathon Pluses, and indeed watched a youtube video on installation tips smile
Good luck with the Audax!
