Selby Three Swans. My first sportive!

I rode this too. Quite a good event, Selby cc did a good job organising, marshalling etc.

Weather was very kind too

Which one did you do? I did the 106, which my GPS said was 100...

Eddh's phone managing to make what was actually a very pretty view, look grey and featureless. Good ride though - 100ish km up and over the Malverns.

I did the 66. Which my Strava said was 67.7. I was really impressed with the whole thing.

Plus I got to cycle round some lovely scenery I didn't appreciate as a kid growing up in the area.

Were you on a KTM? PH top?

Leg warmers and arms this morning, 7:43 leaving time and it was coldish until 10am. Turned out to be one of the best days of the year.

glad you enjoyed it

yes, there is some OK scenery round there, I like that loop from Tadcaster back to Tadcaster

it is a bit flat, but they did choose decent routes

I was on my Storck with a blue long sleeve rudy project jersey today. I was in the 3rd or maybe 4th group to set off

times will be up on the website apparently tomorrow

does it just need a dropout / hanger?

or is it a new frame job? (whether it needs it or not!)

new hanger, it was bent already and I ordered some last week just didn't suspect it to snap

bit annoying really. will strip and clean and put it away for winter and get the ribble out

On a cheeky bit hehe

Just off the SDW at top of Windover Hill, beside the head of the Long Man. Grass track goes diagonally down to join the Folkington bridleway.

Rode the Ridgeway Double Sat into Sun with a mate on our Singlespeeds. (29er me 32:18 heavier mate 32:19)

280km & 3500m -ish, it's more gentle than the SDW, but more remote, a great intro to longer distance trail riding.

We took bivvy gear just in case, but decided to ride on 'til we completed it, under the 24hrs inc about 4.5 hours of stops.

Rode the Flight Centre Epic yesterday here in Queensland Australia. 88.6km and 2001m of climbing according to my GPS.

Finished 50th overall out of 333 in a time of 5hrs 13mins 14seconds. Went through the 50k split at 2hrs 38mins 19seconds.

Pretty happy with that!

Australian Strava, how glamorous !

That little slope around the 17 mile mark looked a little tough.

Well done indeed! Not been brave enough to try anything north of the Tweed yet...

And, there are a few of out here on Strava - we have other problems, but getting Strava ain't one of them!

Anyway, couple of shots from the ride yesterday...

Looks like summer has reached us - looking out over Manly to, er, well, Chile...

Though there were surprisingly few riders out for such a lovely morning...

And then coffee and muffins at the beach...

A 7am start, and a quick drive (I know... But I can't spend the whole day out on my bike on a holiday with the wife) resulted in the above.. Sa colobra pretty much all to myself.. Passed no-one at all on the way down, and 3 cars only came past whilst I was heading back up.. Knocked 4 mins off of my pb to boot, despite keeping my hr and cadence at a sensible level! (The joys of live segments to beat mates!)
If only this were an everyday ride!
