Pub lunch ride out in the Cotswolds, first time we've got it properly muddy! Surprised a chap on one of the descents as we blasted past him

We are off to the Cotswolds a week tomorrow cycling. We had planned on Scotland but are leaving that until the Spring.

This morning's ride - so peaceful today and perfect weather

My longest ride for about two years perfect day to ride Syfydrin Trail @ Nant yr Arian, all good to leg burner then cramp but had managed all the rest so had a little walk up that smile

Given the timing, I took a bimble past this today. An oddly chilling experiance knowing that many of the agents that left from here got shot as spies, and it was completely silent apart from a car and train that went past, no bird song etc.

Great!

I love Nant yr Arian, proper wild trails out in the middle of nowhere.

I planned to go back this year, alas a kidney stone has put paid to that (well the extraction of that is....)

Nant yr Arian is great, wouldn't necessarily do all the time but every now and then on a nice it's brilliant and the views and the feeling of being away from it all is fantastic.

One of my favourite riding spots in the UK, love it there. Was meant to be doing the Little Devil The Return event there yesterday but fractured tib/fib ended that plan last week,

^ a few of us did. For paddock bike duties and for getting through the woods to the far parts of the GP circuit whilst the others were out on track so we could shout abuse encouragement.

Had a couple of hours yesterday before driving to Plymouth for my daughters graduation, so, rather than fart around and get ready, I went for a sunny ride on my local Greenham loop. Was a bit of a fight in the singletrack on the singlespeed with rigids after a summer or suspension and grip, but was great fun.

Last road race of the season. 24 races, a promotion, plenty of podiums and a win - all in all it's been a blast. I am, however, truly mentally tired.
