Not necessarily a photo, but a video from today's hill climb on White Lane organised by Bec CC. I think a few people did Catford and Bec's in the same day!

Most of the top guys will do both yep. James who won Bec was 2nd or 3rd in Catford. My club mate Maryka won both the women's events.

Lost my Road bike Mojo a little at the moment. No bother, having fun exploring Caesar's Camp near work instead smile

hehe

I spent most of this afternoon fart-arsing around trying to fit mudguards too. Although a lot of that time was misspent trying to actually find tools and bits'n'bobs amongst the mess in my garage. No ride for me today in the end. 4½ hours spent adjusting, fitting, testing, re-adjusting, etc, etc sapped my will to live. Still. I got new brake calipers fitted, along with new inner and outer brake cables as part of the same job, so not all bad.

I was going to go for an 'after dark' test ride, but the wife persuaded me that it wasn't a good idea to be relying on newly fitted brakes in the dark. I gave in and will test ride it tomorrow.

Mine has hidden mounts. So I ordered the exceedingly expensive parts. Rear fitted okay, other than a nasty vibration. On the front the grub screw in the fork mount was skewed, no amount of heat gun, release oil etc would remove it. So I drilled it out an tapped a new thread. As I put the mount in it snapped off! So off to the shop to. Up some race blades to only use the front, except the front will not fit due to the shape of the fork. So I now have a rear chromoplastic on the back and a rear race blade on the front! They work okay, other than acting as sail!

Bet you don't get many Crocodile warning signs like this in the Surrey hills.... But at least you have hills.

Enjoyable ride out yesterday whilst my lad was doing his Level 1 Canoe Coaching in Llanberis.

Picked a route out of Llanberis, up the Telegraph valley (1000 ft climb), then down the Snowdon Ranger path towards Rhyd Ddu.

Short road section to Waunfawr, then another climb over the ridge back to Llanberis.

Some really epic scenery around the foot of Snowdon, even on a grey day like yesterday.

Finished with a lap of Llyn Padarn, which was surprisingly hilly!
