Only had a couple of hours free this morning, left my water bottles on the kitchen side (tt) so it turned into a bit of a photo expedition / getting a bit muddy explore... smile

I had an enjoyable ride yesterday, much better than the mudfest that was my commute on Friday!

Enjoyable ride out yesterday whilst my lad was doing his Level 1 Canoe Coaching in Llanberis.

Picked a route out of Llanberis, up the Telegraph valley (1000 ft climb), then down the Snowdon Ranger path towards Rhyd Ddu.

Short road section to Waunfawr, then another climb over the ridge back to Llanberis.

Some really epic scenery around the foot of Snowdon, even on a grey day like yesterday.

Finished with a lap of Llyn Padarn, which was surprisingly hilly!

Excellent, glad you enjoyed it. Looks like you even found some of the trails I mentioned around the lake (wasn't sure if you'd find those ones). Good work! There are some super-steep cheeky trails around there wink Had a blast on one of them this evening. God I love living here.

I think it's quite a generous angle - it didn't feel as big as it looks

Bring on the slop! A strangely enjoyable ride in the pissing rain. Toasty warm though and mudguards maintained mud clearance somehow.

Had a rather epic pedal around the Pentland hills yesterday. It was super foggy in Edinburgh but figured the weather would be better up in the hills. Turned out to be a completely different world up there. No wind, no clouds and hardly anyone about. Mega.

Edinburgh is somewhere under the clouds.

Mist rolled in with half a mile to go.

I only took up any kind of MTB 3 years ago at 36 - you just got to want to throw yourself off stuff - gravity and physics takes care of 95% of it.

Fabulous - if anyone asks why you ride, show them this photo.
