4th outing on the new NS Snabb & stop off at The Rising Sun to refuel with booze, love this bike so fast and controlled got a load of Strava PRs and a few more top 10 cups, 6th overall grims ditch part 2, 2nd overall down mongewell woods particularly pleased with as ridden both sections loads of times before without getting close to the top of the leader boards.

Also spotted a Jay which I've not seen before in the area.

Didn't fancy either of my normal 100k routes today so I had a bit of a stab at the N1/10 TT course on the old A1 between Sawtry and Folksworth. My only previous TT attempt was at the Tour of Cambridgeshire last year and I didn't do too great there either! smile

At 28:24 I'm definitely not a TT rider! I do think it's an interesting side of cycling though, I might have another look after this years ToC?...

Nice to be in shorts and fingerless gloves at last though! smile

6.39am, Eastbourne

11hrs 56mins later Winchester, after 100miles & 11000ft SDW

With this in the middle

Train took a reassuringly long 3hrs & 2 changes to get me home again.

Bet I still didn't get spotted in me PH jersey though.

That looks quite similar to Elkin wood near me, it's only a small wood, but there are 4 or 5 memorials like that.

You mean you didn't exhume it to find out?

Is it a popular dog walking site?

No pictures from my ride, only one from the aftermath.

Went over the bars after a clothing / front wheel interface. Fortunately not going too fast, but still managed to crack my road helmet.

Looks like I need a small amount of dentistry to resolve.... :-(

Bike OK fortunately.

A nice 97km jaunt over the North York moors,. Photos are on the hills above osmotherley. 8 degrees and foggy when I left home. Up to 26 degrees on the last big climb if the day. The stoksley to Helmsley road was shown as closed which reduced the amount of traffic on it. I would not like to ride along it on a busy day. A few idiots on motor bikes used us to mark the apex of corners which is a bit disconcerting when then speed past with what feels like only inches.
