Short blast round Gotham and East Leake in South Notts. Only takes an hour or so but some great up and down hills bits make it a perfect local short ride.

Some nice pics of Surrey above YJ.

Video of one of my favourite sections on a loop down to Frensham Pond - familiar to Hampshire locals i'm sure. Best watched in 720 hd as YouTube compression really downgrades the quality frown

Nice that. Although the best I could run it at was 480p without it 'jumping' and slowing down. That's a nice descent, that is. Not too steep so that you can afford to freewheel too much, but plenty of assistance from gravity to aid you to the bottom.

You caught my favourite "wrong turn" too - up past the houses on the left at 5:48. I think I'm still 6th overall on a segment up the Byway/Bridleway over the hill on the trusty Emonda so there must be plenty of lazy MTBers in those parts...hehe Shame the video stops where it does, though. I love that sprint into Bentley, past the village 'Archer' signs.

Some great photos here, almost makes me homesick.

Me en route to the Blue Mountains now. A beautiful fresh morning. There's been back burning so that may ruin our photos and our lungs, see how we go.

We were heading to Frensham and took the right under the A31 just after the video stops (completing the 'phallic loop' Strava segment biggrin) - it's a nice smooth tarmac through Bentley though.

Ah! I always take t'other right turn in the village, which goes over the A31 rather than under it.

I did the Bostin' Peaks today, starting and finishing in Uttoxeter.

67 miles, with 3500 ft of climbing in the first 30 miles.

Great weather, scenery and camaraderie between the riders!

They were filming a new "reality TV" show call Tour de Celeb, although I use the terminology lightly......

Bumped into Amy Williams (Gold medallist in the Vancouver Winter Olympics on the skeleton) and Louis Spence of all people......he was OK and a bit of a laugh.

My 16 year old son "dared" me to get a selfie with him..... [red-face]

I managed to keep up with her for a while - the view from behind was worth the effort! cloud9

I did the 150km ride, saw AW at the end my my what well developed glutes (she was in short black shorts by then).

Seemed to be more vertical in the ride then published made an error riding with three friends who are in Ironman training mode, great weather and scenery.

360mile round trip so a long weekend!

I had a stty week at work and my 4 legged best friend died in the early hours of Saturday morning. frown

What better way to clear your head is there than to go out and ride in the middle of nowhere -

Planned a ride involving as many of the big hills in Brighton as possible, including the infamous Drove.
The Strava file says it's only about 10%, it certainly felt more than that!
Finished off with Devil's Dyke

One of the best roads round here is the Poynings to Fulking road, at the foot of the Downs

Took the 1980 ALAN Super Record out for a spin yesterday, wonder why I spent all that money on fancy carbon, this is every bit as fast and twice as comfortable
Running a mixture of Campagnolo Record, Super Record and Athena. 41T-52 with 12T-21

My old steel beast is only a Falcon Pro-Line, but it has 53/39t x 11-28t 7-speed on it. I did away with the original 12-23t rear casette because I got old and climbing was getting way too 'emotional' on it... wink

Your's is a pretty, pretty bike... lick
