Bit of a cheat as it wasn't this morning, but about two weeks ago through Hyde Park.

Oof! That looks bad. How old are those Gatorskins? There doesn't look like there's much wear on them really...
How can you tell they are Gatorskins? Half the writing is worn or fallen off.

I bought my bike last year but didn't get a chance to use it much; managed to get out for a short ride today (new jacket and shorts too!) and loved it! Can't wait for summer.

It's above freezing and the snow has mostly gone so I went for a ride around the lake today. My shoulders ache now though, I need to get some more miles in so my body stops complaining!

See, now there's a throw away line that disguises the truth - "...so I went for a ride around the lake...". To me, where I live, "the lake" is Hawley Lake, and it's a two mile lap, maybe nearly three by the time you get there and get back. Your version of "the lake" seems to be a forty mile lap, and even then that's not a lap of the full lake! Looks like a great place to ride.

Nice picture too!

Nothing new ride-wise from me recently. I've done my legs a mischief running 10km on Monday night off the back of no running whatsoever for a month. I'm also hiding from the rain and the sloppy mud. I've nothing to prove to myself at the moment, having just taken delivery of my Rapha Festive 500 patch!

A full lap requires me to venture into deepest darkest Kanton Schwyz, and pass through the villages of Wangen and Tuggen so I opted for the mid-length version (I can bail half way and take a ferry home if needed), It's a great place to ride, flat roads around the lake or head up into the hills (not really mountains) where I can climb 500m up straight from my front door.

Well done on the Festive 500, I've never even bothered trying as I'm too full of Bordeaux and port to even contemplate it, even if the wet and pot-holed Sussex roads tempted me out. It's a shame, I really liked the Rapha Core Festive 500 jersey and it was very cheap in the sale but I didn't buy as I hadn't earned it frown

A nice bit of sun on my local loop, a lot of runoff from the fields though. Don't know why it's come out sideways !?

Suffice to say today didn't go as planned. 6 miles from home on the outwards leg this happened. yikes

Leaving me a 6 mile ride home standing on the pedals all the way, and walking down the one way street (shortest route).

Crikey, CD. Was that an OEM or aftermarket post?

It was an after market one, only weighed 160 grams, but had survived my fat ass since I got back from Tuscany last year. Glad it failed now rather than on a trip.

Yesterday. A few miles locally and some saddle/post fettling. Seem to have got it dialed in now.

Muddy day at Aston Hill today - the Pacestar Nobby Nik was a bit interesting on the roots, probably not the best idea to ride rooty DH track on a trail bike with XC rear tyre still it's good for skills.
