Taken at the top of a climb - Villard-Reculas (1,600m), just on the other side of Alpe d'huez.

Funday in the woods until I unscrewed the rear wheel and the cassette/free hub dropped off!

I guess I've found where the creaking is coming from! An axel that has finally snapped.

Up near Ross-on-Wye visiting relatives and took the bike for a quick run around.

This is Hamsters pad, an old castle and rather nice too!

The hills will be so much easier once I get my new steed later this week yes

took the track bike out on the Bristol and bath cycle path, 100" was too big for my weedy thighs do I reduced it to 94" which felt a bit easier. Fixed gears are a beautiful thing.

I really didn't fancy the wind yesterday morning, so thought I'd drive to the Lee Valley Velo Park and try the outdoor mile long road track, really enjoyed it.

(no the wind was probably worse collecting off the side of the velodrome but it was nice not to have to contend with any traffic!)

40 miles off road on the Cross Bike, Wyle Valley and across the impact area on Salisbury Plain, feel so lucky to live where we do.

I've just spent the weekend in York so had a couple of rides out on the bike. I first visited Selby Abbey followed by Beningbrough Hall.
