No longer cycling? Is this a temporary thing? What is the reason behind the decision, appreciate if its personal reasons you may not want to disclose but I hope it's just a short term thing
Don't know yet. Bulging L5 S1 disc since September which is getting worse. Tried everything other than rest which is what I am now doing.I am long term sick from work and in an extremely bad place at the moment.

Apologies if that was a bit preachy, it just grates a little add I know charities that have lost thousands through people failing to take the pledges seriously at the London marathon.
Fair enough Pablo, I would love to do the charity thing, as one of my relatives suffers from Parkinson's, but I prob don't have enough contacts to raise the minimum £700 required.arcticnick said:
Does anyone know if a) the Regonline link is working for 2016 and b) has the address?
For the past 2 years RideLondon have misplaced my overseas in/out magazine...

It says "commit" not " do your best".
What you're suggesting is some what ,
I would though you of all people would have higher moral values.
Committing to something is different to succeeding. What you're suggesting is some what ,

I managed to raise 75% of what I required last year with BLF and committed myself to raise what I could.
Morally I feel privelaged to have raised some money rather than none - and did my best to do so.
I am surprised on your take on it bearing in mind you have been through the mill with health yourself.

Sorry Swerni, but that's somewhat harsh to say the very least. What you're suggesting is some what ,
I would though you of all people would have higher moral values.
All the charity sites say that you commit to raising the minimum, not to try your hardest.
Suggestions you just raise what you can is morally wrong.
Why don't we all just sign up for charity places and chuck £50 in then?
You have no right to do so Swerni, no one does. Because in doing so you stop those who stand on the bylines, who could or want to do something to help, but are afraid to do so, from doing so. You could say 'well do something else within your scope', you could... but that makes you callous and judgemental and it puts a barrier in the way of those who dream, but are afraid to start to act - and there are many. There's enough people who do that, you don't need to be one of them, you're bigger than that.
