Spotted who I believe is Gruffy + one other just past Battersea Bridge before Lots Road both kitted out in the latest PH cycling shirts. Nice bar tape Gruffy and even nicer rear wheel!

One of the very rare ladies jerseys on show this evening. Plus my dog got his first DOM up Greenwich Park Hill.

Spoke to his and hers PH Jerseys at the 3 Counties Cycle ride today (was in my Freeride) - awesome weather made for a thoroughly enjoyable ride around the Henley hills. Got my 1st shout out in my top heading out of Bracknell which made me smile

Was also pleased that the climb back out of Henley on Thames seemed easier than i'd remembered it from previous years.

I was the his in the his and hers PH Jerseys! biggrin The weather was absolutely spot on and as you say it made for a thoroughly enjoyable ride. I saw somebody pointing at me on the outskirts of Bracknell but I've no idea if that was because of the PH kit or not?!

I have to agree with you that the climb out of Henley on Thames felt easier this time around. Also, the 11 miles of hills or whatever the Strava segment is called actually went by quickly as well as I was dreading that bit. All in all it was a great event and I only saw a few people having to repair punctures and one bloke on the side of the road following an accident he'd had. He had a fair bit of road rash so I don't envy him right now!

I saw you come back in to collect your chocolate/water/certificate/medal. How long did it take you guys?

3:09:39 moving time (3:39:25 including stops) for the 51.5 miles showing an average of 16.3mph - how about u ?

The run down into Henley OT is superb - the mile or two on the main road just before you hit the town is peachy - apart from having to ride out in the middle to avoid 'thud thud' every 30metres - bizzare to have the same road defect every 30m for a mile or so.

Off to a BBQ now to balance any outstanding calorie deficit burger

That was me (x-Bionic kit - looks a bit like a Halloween outfit!) heading in the other directions for a spin around Surrey Hills.....

Again, that was me - you and Pot Odds were only a couple of mins apart at that point - I saw both of you within about 3 mins of each other!!!

Ahh we'd both just left Garth Hill School which was just around the corner from where we saw you.

I did it in 2:56 with an average speed of 17.5mph. I didn't stop at any points as I was just enjoying the ride and didn't want to get off the bike.

That road certainly was a bit of a tricky one. I also thought that more of the roads had gravel on them this time around which certainly gets your attention when you are flying down a hill and then spot the gravel on the bend! Oh and riding up Remenham Hill was fun with various people struggling and zigzagging their way up it! smile

I hope the BBQ was enjoyed as it was well deserved! biggrin

MadDad - Spotted the kit and just spotted you on the footage I filmed with a Virb pointing back wards under my saddle - you were giving a large wavey whilst powering up the hill. I don't normally film rides but stuck the Garmin on for yesterday's as it's a scenic route.

Scott - nice time particularly given it was straight through. Remenham hill out of Henly seemed easy this year - I was just thinking that it would get steeper when I spied the main road at the top smile

Weather permitting i'll be doing the Basigstoke Big Wheel 63 miler next month

wavey to Yellowjack.

Perfect weather tonight ! We crossed paths just as I was nearing the end of a couple of laps around fleet to turn 30 miles (my buddy had decided to cut our normal ride short at 18 in favour of a pub dinner - fair play).

I was trying to nudge my average up for the ride but sadly failed to crack 17 so apologies if I was a bit quiet - I was a little out of breath (while trying hard not to show it of course biggrin).

wavey yourself, Mr Pot Odds!

You caught me close to the end of about 67 miles in the end. Or 108 kilometres. Also known as 6 kilometres short of the Gran Fondo 115 challenge on Strava right now... rolleyes

Very nice to meet you. When you first caught me I was aware of your shadow as I took a drink. I may have tried to open up a bit at that point. It didn't work though, as you were noticeably stronger than me and I reckon you could have dropped me if you wanted to. That extra wiggle and a-jiggle following you very nearly got me through that GF Challenge, but I wasn't aware of just how close I was to completing it until I uploaded the ride.

That PH MTB jersey looks fab, by the way. I'm massively grumpy now as it was the one item I took off my order last time around, to bring costs down. I wish I'd spent the extra now.

Cheers for the tow to Church Crookham, by the way! I was seriously flagging at that point and having someone to ride behind got me 'over the hill' and moving at a decent(ish) pace again for the last part of the run home.

Good to see another Jersey at the Chiltern Cycling Festival. Sorry, in the excitement of seeing my first jersey in the wild I forgot to introduce myself. Hope the little one wasn't too tired on the way home and that you didn't get caught in the rain.

That would be similarly-useless-at-introductions me! A late night (my daughter's), an early morning triathlon (my son's) and a hangover (mine) meant we were all a bit under par today so we didn't hang about too long.

A good event and nice to see this.

Always makes me laugh how that garage is named "Mercedes Benz of Ascot" , when its not really Ascot at all....

You'd be surprised how far Ascot stretches. I met someone once and asked her where she lived.
"Oh, near Ascot"
"Oh yeah? Not far from me then. Whereabouts?"
"Um.... Binfield".
"So... the other side of Bracknell, from Ascot?"
"Errr yes. Ascot sounds better..."
