On the one hand I agree with the comment about how ridiculous this was. No training, not prepared for the possibility you'd be out after dark, probably worried your family sick.

On the other hand, I think it's a perfectly good example of British eccentricity.

I estimate about sixty on the bike and sixty pushing it....(give or take)

I'm up for a commemorative PH sportive :-) Agreed that this is the kind of epic achievement (or true idiocy, its really hard to separate the two!) That should be enshrined and celebrated :-)

Very impressive! I know a lot of the route you took and there are some fair climbs on there. I don't condone no lights but you did make it home after all Will you now be getting back into cycling or was this a one off?
