Good, this is going well hehe

To be honest, I lean towards the 'all new' range myself...

I missed out on the last one so I would love one of the old ones but a new long sleeves road jersey would also be great.

I would prefer a re-run and for it to be available in 6 weeks, whilst we still have some summer. A new design would be nice, but the chances are it would not be available until the weather has turned and would only end up being worn under something warmer.

I'd vote for the all new - keep the exclusivity - I was the only PH (3rd design) cycling jersey that I saw on last weekends Wiggle Mountain Mayhem!

I'd love a re-run of the last shirt, was away for ages so missed it. I'd happily order a couple and I'm sure current owners wouldn't mind a spare or two. Hopefully a re-run wouldn't be too much work (or as much) either. Also the white and black fits my current colour scheme!!

As for exclusivity what are you chaps on about? If another 50 PH'ers have the shirt it's hardly going to be on every street corner.

I think a new design would be best off in a little whiles time when more people would want a new shirt, I doubt all the chaps who forked out a load of cash 6months ago would be up for splashing out again.

Either way I'd be grateful and would more than likely order (providing its not some god awful yellow and pink stripe affair).

Same design but in a long sleeve road/cross shirt, ideal for the upcoming autumnal season.

If we reuse the current design doesn't that save us money, and would allow a rerun of short sleeve jerseys for those who missed the last run/crashed and damaged there existing one.

Let's keep them as limited runs. People had enough chance to put their names down at the time. Also, by making them available again discourages people to commit and put their money up front again in the future.

Maybe a long-sleeved roadie...reverse the colours of the old one?

This, really. I missed out on the first two runs, but managed to see photos of the damned things and the 'pat on the back' thread after the fact. I made damned sure I got (more than) one of the last run. As Garlick has indicated in the past, they should be kept as "Limited Edition" short run (to order) items. Either that, or make them available via the PH shop, but that won't fit the business model.

The problem seems to be that there are lots of folk who ride bikes and are PHers, but who either don't regularly dip into PedalPowered, or don't ordinarily post in here. This means that they like the idea of a cycle jersey but miss the boat when it comes to placing an order. Then they see one out on the road and think "I know, I'll order up one of those" only to be told "Sorry, no can do".

We've had the debate about stock/to order and getting the word out to those not in PP before, and it's always come down to this...

...the best workable solution is the limited run, made to order system. I'm just grateful that the shirts exist and I managed to get some last time. Excessive pressure to have multiple designs and sleeve lengths might just backfire and leave us without new jerseys in the future.

Garlick said:
So. we have two choices for you.

Run a small order repeating the last design, to be ordered and despatched within 6 weeks or so.

OR

We'll get to designing a few new shirts that will take a little longer, but will be rather swanky.

Any thoughts?
Now in answer to the questions posed, I'd like to say (purely selfishly) to go ahead with a new design. However, I'm not mean of spirit, so to allow some of those people who've been asking for months for a new batch of shirts to get one for summer, I'd say a repeat order would be a nice gesture. In the meantime, while the delivery of that batch was pending, the design for a new shirt could be thrashed out and orders taken for delivery (maybe aiming off for pre-Christmas delivery) later this year of a "swanky" new shirt with long sleeves?

As has been pointed out, another small run won't really dilute the feeling of exclusivity...

...there are about 2 million regular cyclists according to SportEngland, so you're still statistically very unlikely to meet another jersey-wearing PHer while out riding, even if there was another run of the same quantity as the last. Besides, if there are more Smilies on the back of cyclists it will perhaps help to inform the vast, non-cycling majority of drivers that many of us two wheelers love cars too.

New design, clearly.

Can i suggest black / white / blue? After all, the forum headers etc are blue, not yellow smile

Selfishly I would prefer a new design etc.

And while I am at it, did anybody see me riding through teh Loire Valley in mine on Saturday? smile

87 of us and had around 8 or 9 compliments from gadget/car nuts.....

So in summary, my vote is a new design and remain Road biased. Wouldn't bring myself I think to wear an obvious MB shirt unless not clearly one.

As most things though, we will all I guess vote for what we want ourselves?
