He moans on and on about other people in the wrong lane and then right at the end, he's clearly in a filter lane to turn right and goes straight on.

Bell-end.

I don't think it'll be long before he encounters someone with too little patience / impulse control.

What a total dick.

I'm a biker (in both senses of the word) and I wouldn't dream of riding like that. It's not even as if the cyclist was holding him up! There was loads of room to pass (or he could use the hatched area to overtake, like he did earlier...

Interesting to note that the cycle path is blocked by a big sign. Great positioning...

I recognised that as Taunton. What an aggressive, unpleasant moron.

Yep, his other videos confirm it. Bus is technically in the wrong lane but very obvious where he's going and taking a smoother line through the roundabout.

The only one who's putting himself in danger is... himself!

ironic that he moans about cyclists but clearly films himself overtaking on solid lines 1.13 and again where he overtakes the silver focus!

He's no baron von grumble is he.

Oh dear

JLP facepalm

I don't know if there's something in the water but I've noticed a sizeable increase in bell-endery on the roads this year.

The last bit is the a358 out of taunton heading to minehead.

I'm amazed that he's got away with this behavior in Bridgwater, not exactly a town known for rational thinking :NFB - can refer to mentally disturbed patients, known colloquially as normal for Bridgewater

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97rsd-O8PJo This is a good one smile

Gets cut up by a bus in the wrong lane then rather than drop back or get in front just rides alongside the driver giving it large.

What you don't really see is the lane narrows back to 1 lane and the other side opens up into 2 lanes.

You could have driven a bus through the gap.
Surely if you were worried about getting knocked off you either get safely in front or behind?

Not ride alongside then park in a slip road (for traffic turning right off the main road) whilst having a chat. If he lives in bishops lydeard where he seems to keep heading then there are 800 maybe 1000 houses there so shouldn't be hard to find out who he is.

The camera and bike seem to give him sense of entitlement, as if he is some obnoxious anti-hero, challenging driving indiscretions to the delight of his imagined audience.
It's like he's watched baron von grumble and thinks that's what he's doing.

If he wasn't such a cock and did it with a broad somerset accent it might be funny.

What is it about motorcyclists with cameras, eh? rolleyes

Rabid nutters with persecution complexes always on the look-out for a situation that shows them as a victim. Ranting and raving about other people's shortcomings when the video is littered with evidence of their own.

As for the cyclist, the cycle path has barely begun, when an Audi is seen blocking the usable width of it. Then, at 1'50" it becomes obvious why the cyclist isn't using it - it's so he gets to be on the priority side of the white lines at the 'T' junction. 5 seconds later we see that the path is blocked by a temporary 'roadworks' warning sign, which, since it is aimed at drivers, really ought to be placed IN THE CARRIAGEWAY. At 1'58" we see a bus stop - where anyone waiting in the shelter would have to cross the cycle path to get to their bus, and there are two pedestrians milling about in the middle of the 'shared use' section. Finally, Lo! and Behold! - the end of the cycle path at 2'01", just after the pedestrian crossing, where any cyclist who was on the path is now spat back out into traffic, and to add insult to injury, is required to give way to traffic already on the road. This, just as the road actually gets narrower, and just in time to place any unsuspecting cyclist right into the 'door zone' of the parked cars at 2'09".

So an entirely legitimate choice by a cyclist not to use a cyclepath that doesn't take him where he wants to go, and is, going on the video evidence, less than a minute long, and full of hazards.

As for the motorcyclist? Plenty of overtakes in there, and, as is often the case, they'll have been overtakes of cars which were travelling at the speed limit (is there even a speed limit for motorbikes?) And cheer's, Mr Crotch Rot, for your savvy road safety advice...

"Save your life! Ride in the Gutter!"

I shouldn't imagine that the cyclist in question has EVER thought "you know what I really need? A cycle path along that perfectly serviceable road upon which there is already plenty of room to make progress"

Whichever local authority is responsible for that cycle facility, they need to know just how pointless it is. 0.3 mile of cycle path that is so new it doesn't yet show on googlemaps/streetview http://goo.gl/maps/eG3yx , but is littered with examples of very-much-less-than-best practice.

Faith in human nature is restored when you read the vast majority of the comments under the video...

...I particularly hehe at this one...

This guy's channel is a tragic combination of Peep Show and Marion and Geoff. I've just watched one where he goes to Sainsburys to buy some motorcycling magazines. I think I mostly just feel sorry for him now.
