That's nothing. I'll give five virtual pounds to anyone who can beat this:

Is that lunch I can see hanging from the garage door mechanism?

New turbo , haven't used in anger yet as still getting out the road so far .....
Is that two Scott Foil 30s hanging from the ceiling? I test rode one recently. Found it a bit harsh, but I was impressed with how responsive it was and it felt much stiffer than my Giant too.

Yep , storing one for a pal over the winter . I've heard that comment a few times since I got mine , but can't say I've noticed anything excessively harsh. Noticeably stiff but not uncomfortable for me. Had read reports before purchase that arm and hands would go numb etc but never been a problem . TBH I don't really notice a huge difference in harshness to the Alu specialised sector elite in the picture .

I'd echo all of that. Mine is a premium shod with sram s60s and while it's definitely a "racer" it's not harsh.

Well, since I live in a ridiculously tiny studio apartment (I'm a tight a*se), it has to double up as a torture chamber / place to live / place to store 2 mountain bikes and a road bike. I don't know that the pictures give you a perspective of just how small it is. But at least the TV and hi-fi are in the same room, which provides a bit of relief from the boredom.

Anyhow, the guy who lives below me swears he can barely hear the turbo trainer and thankfully he's very understanding. Nevertheless, I dropped him off a bottle of Smirnoff as appreciation today.

I'm in training for an Ironman 70.3 in June 2014 and with the weather the way it is, long hours at work and no daylight, the trainer is getting a fair bit of use - maybe around 8 hours a week.

I'm looking forward to when it's light enough to be able to use the road bike in the evenings!

Still, after ten minutes the fact that I'm in a cold garage doesn't seem to matter anymore.

I use trainerroad and stream content from my NAS in the house to keep me occupied.
Finally tidied the garage up, took an entire day - but well worth it.

Managed to get a puncture in the rear tyre which curtailed a 90 min Trainerroad session the other day. Still not sure how that happened.

Lol, it encourages me to pedal faster in fear of slipping into it.

I'm not sure whats happened, its an old detached garage and will likely be pulled down in a few years to accommodate an extension. Its cracked from a manhole cover to the end of the concrete so probably some movement has cracked it.

Not bad for about £80 worth of materials to the actual garage, plus the extra bits of storage

It started like this in June

Not an ideal location but it does the job (especially with an iPad in easy reach).

I don't see many fans, either you're all not trying hard enough or they're out if shot? Surely you can't turbo properly without a properly big fan?

I just did 1hr45 at moderate effort and was dripping like a joint of beef, even with a pretty big fan.

No pictures yet but I've finally cleared enough space in the garage to set up the rollers.

Are there any good apps out there for programming a training routine on my Tablet?
