Blimey haven't seen one of those in a while, it was Martin Hawes riding one of those whilst trying to break the world bunny hop record at Bike show @ NEC that made me want to get into trials riding. I've still got a 1992 GT Pantera frame/fork combo lying around which should really be sold as I can't see me doing anything with it.
Here you go. The only thing that's not from 96 are the tires, but this was my downhill bike that I raced in 95-96 before knocking it on the head. Scary to think that was nearly 20 years ago!
Sometimes gets a bit of an outing in Swinley, but it's the only bike I've got left from the 90's so just keeping hold of her.

I've got a ATX990 with Z1 BAMs, 1998 GT Palomar with original tyres and brake blocks and a Orange Zero trials bike in Peter Kraus edition.
Bomber Z1s, now those are a blast from the past, in 1998 they were the daddy of suspension forks. Compared with the Rockshox Indys I had before the Bombers were a huge improvement, I still have a hardtail with some 2003 Bomber Z3s which still perform far better than a large number of modern forks. I love this thread! Brings me back to the 90's which I loved for mtb'ing.
This is my Parkpre, I bought the frame in 1996 at the age of 16, it was built up from parts of my previous bike, it's a 1994 frame with 1995 stickers!.
I'm now 34! and will be rebuilding it in the summer! In the pictures it has a few mod cons, 2001 rock shox sid's, the wheels pre-date the bike!
Previous to this was a Marin Muirwoods, highly modified, no suspension!
This bike is really a part of me! Frame was a gift for my 16th birthday!

Don't know if it would be classed as a retro MTB yet but I have a Claud Butler Cape Wrath from 1998. Purchased then sprayed with WD40 and hung on the garage wall where it's been ever since !
Complete with bill of sale, plastic back full of manuals and bits including the original sales brochure.
I do give it an extra spray with WD every so often so under the 20 or so layers it's probably just like new !

I have a bit of a collection
Cannondale super v
Cannondale raven (1999) with a lefty
Whyte Psr2
the super v was bought new and has had lots of trick parts on it but I could not fit discs to it so I bought a raven frame off the bay of evil and built it up with new components
The Psr2 was a e-bay whim ,it was so cheap and it was really nicely specced with hope hubs and hope brakes ,interesting ride
Kind of flip flop between the raven and the psr2 ,the Raven being the choice for longer /tricky rides (steering is super responsive )

Still got my GT Tempest from about 1996 - bright metallic orange! And a set of 1999 Z1 Flylight Air forks that are still in use. Now have enough parts to rebuild the GT and install the Z1s as part of the build. Looking forward to it as the frame is only 18" and should be super nimble compared to my FS.
