The howler is quite tough, when we did it last year we rode a couple of the hills prior to get used the them.
The long drag onto the forest after you cross the A22 is a grind, with a short respite before you get to Chuck hatch which is another mile plus hill. A short sharp blast as you pass Wierwood reservoir is a killer, but you have a few miles respite before you have the long drag past Gravetye Manor.
A great ride, if you are local we have a good group ride from Crowborough a few times a week who you could buddy up with for the day. Quite a few of our riders will participate.
