what value, of anything and what conditions best for sale?
Discussion
I have managed to dig out two Raleigh Ultra Burner Bmx bikes from the OHs Grans Barn this weekend. Both need new tyres, brakes and greased up to get working along with a good clean.
they are great candidates for full restoration projects, but are they best done before sale or would people prefer them in a mess to do themselves?
also what kind of value should i expect? They are being sold to help pay for a party for Grans 70th on the farm.
sorry for title error, on my phone while cars being MOT'd

Your looking at around £300 for a good condition complete bike.
There is a specialist retro BMX forum but can't remember its name it has a very big buy and sell section which people will go crazy for if there after a certain item.
Will be worth putting some photos up as I do believe there's a member here who plays with retro BMX's

Given they are ultra burners, and a bit rarer, I'd sell them as is. If you fix them up but don't know what you're doing and fail to put age/model appropriate tyres, grips, pedals etc on them for example, it will reduce their value and your potential profit. Loads of retro bikes get fixed up with period but not original parts and the sellers still ask stupid prices.
Buyers of retro cycling stuff are a savvy bunch, you should easily see £200 each if they don't need too much attention on the chrome etc, possibly more if the pads etc are in good condition.

Cheers guys, should have said are the ultra burner black editions with no pads but could try and source them I suppose.
I think selling ad they are will be the best route, as said I dont want to cheapen them with similar but not original parts.
Edited for poor spelling.
