Done and done. Would like to hit 5,000km now.
Just crept past that on the way home last night. Unless I move or manage to find the time to put in some longer or more frequent leisure rides next year I can't see me getting much futher than that. I will have a go a stretching the to work leg of the commute out a bit if the weathers good. Maybe 6,000km for next year.
Done, last ride of the year complete, legs aching a bit but a great year on the bike for me!
Distance; 12,052 miles / 19,396 kms
Time in the saddle; 665h 22m
Elevation; 433,665 ft / 132,181 meters / 82 miles
Rides; 277
I would have bagged another 500-750ish miles but had 6 days off the bike in February with a gastric infection thanks to getting a mouthful of sewage while riding in the floods, another 6 days off in November with the flu, and family stuff keeping me off the bike a little more than I had planned in December (should have been able to complete the festive 500).
2015 mileage won't be anywhere near this year, still plan on somewhere in the region of 8k miles but 2015 will be more about quality than quantity.

5600 miles, so reaching 7000 by the end of the year is looking doubtful, although not impossible. 2 weeks off the bike due to illness hasn't really helped.
6081 miles in the end, not bad considering I didn't have mileage based goal for this year. I rode pretty much every day I felt able to and took time off the bike when I wasn't at my best. Looking back I'm fairly happy with how it's gone and only peaking too early in the year marred the training plan. Managed a decent amount of social rides too, along with the racing and training which has kept the motivation high, so a good balance overall.
