I have 50 miles and 2,500 vertical feet to go to hit my yearly targets, and a baby due on Monday. Life would be easier if I completed the targets before the baby arrived really. smile

Done and done. Would like to hit 5,000km now.
Just crept past that on the way home last night. Unless I move or manage to find the time to put in some longer or more frequent leisure rides next year I can't see me getting much futher than that. I will have a go a stretching the to work leg of the commute out a bit if the weathers good.

Maybe 6,000km for next year.

Last ride of the year was yesterday, brings my totals to:

Mileage: 6845 miles
Time: 365hr 45min
Elevation: 289,524ft
Rides: 215

It will be more next year as I only joined a club in May and I will be racing more in 2015

Well done, good climbing and higher per mile than I've managed 344,957ft over 6,181 miles.

2014 completed. Pleased with how the year has gone, some decent (for me) race and TT results along with plenty of laughs.

Don't think I'll do as many miles next year though.

Distance 12,023 mi
Time 664h 49m
Elev Gain 428,081 ft

Done, last ride of the year complete, legs aching a bit but a great year on the bike for me!

Distance; 12,052 miles / 19,396 kms
Time in the saddle; 665h 22m
Elevation; 433,665 ft / 132,181 meters / 82 miles
Rides; 277

I would have bagged another 500-750ish miles but had 6 days off the bike in February with a gastric infection thanks to getting a mouthful of sewage while riding in the floods, another 6 days off in November with the flu, and family stuff keeping me off the bike a little more than I had planned in December (should have been able to complete the festive 500).

2015 mileage won't be anywhere near this year, still plan on somewhere in the region of 8k miles but 2015 will be more about quality than quantity.

That's exactly what I want for next year. Less miles, better race results, just need to get my act together with a more structured training plan.

5600 miles, so reaching 7000 by the end of the year is looking doubtful, although not impossible. 2 weeks off the bike due to illness hasn't really helped.
6081 miles in the end, not bad considering I didn't have mileage based goal for this year. I rode pretty much every day I felt able to and took time off the bike when I wasn't at my best. Looking back I'm fairly happy with how it's gone and only peaking too early in the year marred the training plan. Managed a decent amount of social rides too, along with the racing and training which has kept the motivation high, so a good balance overall. Roll on 2015 & Happy New Year!

Managed to just squeeze in a ride this evening, bringing this year's totals to

1009 miles
111h 45 mins
98,999ft elevation gain

I'm quite chuffed with that, pretty much all of it being off road, and 95% of it being at night!

All done.

10264km
68747m elevation

That'll do fine.

Finished on 6544 miles.

That works out to 125 a week, or nearly 18 miles a day, which I thought was quite interesting.
