Aldi Cycle Gear - Sunday 4th May
Discussion
Managed to pop in a branch this afternoon, lots of most things left except the clothes or shoes.
Got myself a helmet, gloves, socks and the tyre foam.....not tried it yet though.
Not too disappointed at the lack of clothes as Sports Direct seems to have more choice and competitive prices, and there's a large branch up the road so going to finish off kitting myself out up there.

Just popped in another branch as we were passing and there seems to be plenty of stock still on the shelves around here, added a soft shell jacket, more socks and sunglasses to the haul.
Failed miserably at Sports Direct, tried a few things on but we have the main head office/mega store up the road and the prices were considerably more expensive than online, shoes were £10 more expensive which is double the cost of the postage, so got the sizes and now shopping online which will be sent from the warehouse next door to were I've been shopping, not to worry, it's even eligible for 'Top Cash Back' so it's even cheaper.

Bicester Sunday was a nightmare....
bees round a honey pot...
spent £60...
3x shirts, 2x shorts, my boys bought sunglasses and gloves, (the gloves even went down to xs size so my 8 year old was bought some..)
,
used a shirt and shorts for the ride to work. very impressed...was using a shirt from sport direct that cost more and not as nice as the aldi one....
.
used to buy running clothes from aldi as well (Crane) and found there socks etc where better than "1000 mile" brand which cost 3 times as much for me...
.
right then i need a cycling shirt than has a shadow of 6 pack to impress the ladies my current one seems display a gut shadow!!!!

The Crane stuff is surprisingly good for the price but the sizing is stupid beyond comprehension, a Medium in one product might be a X-Large in another so you have to either try it on or guess, luckily they are good at taking unused stuff back.
I popping in Sunday and it was the usual Bun fight, likely they'll restock during the week, if you know when thats the time to go ;-)
Got some arm warmers for a laugh and they are alright, also the "windproof" sleeveless base layer which was excellent and warm, I have some glasses from their previous cycle sale and they are great too.
