Can someone point to them on eBay? I appear to be failing at that particular life skill.

to those who own some, would you have any concerns about taking a set out to the alps? i hear stories of overheating rims, though not sure if thats just down to poor riding style?

The screeching noise of the pads on the rims would annoy me long before the rims over heated... They arent the stiffest so if you were out of the saddle and really twisting the bars you would probably get some brake rub but if you were content, and able, to just sit there and spin a low gear you would be fine.

I don't own any but I've heard too many horror stories about carbon clinchers exploding on descents to risk it myself. If they were tubs, I would.

Have a read through here;
http://www.wheelsmith.co.uk/clinchers

The rest of the site is useful too, Wheelsmith have a good reputation.

I must say this looks like an interesting option; so what can I expect to pay in import duty if the value of the wheels is accurately declared at £250?

Yes, I would have concerns (with good reason) and wouldn't take them anywhere near the Alps.

Was looking at Zuus wheels last night, somehow they end up cheaper than Farsports but one benefit is that they include a warranty. Though their decals on the wheels look like a bit of Zipp copy

Just ordered some of the Z50's, with the darker decals to match my matt carbon/black Ribble frame.

Got to wait for a new load to come over from China, looking forward to seeing how they ride.

I've just ordered a pair of these, gone for Matt carbon with dark decals too, although mine will be going on a white/red/silver Wilier...

Did you get an email to confirm that they were awaiting a shipment from China?

Had a call from Gary (Mr Zuus himself) to say an error with the site meant they weren't actually in stock, I could either go for 38mm or 60mm or wait for his suppliers next shipment. You may have the same call on the way, if not already.

From the website:

Freehub Compatibility:
This hub is compatible with Shimano spline 8, 9 and 10 speed systems as standard. It is NOT compatible with 11 speed Shimano cassettes

Thanks for the heads up - I've just ordered the 46/66 with gold hubs. Would have preferred 46/46 with black hubs but they're sold out, for the price I don't really care.

I didn't get as far as reading the description - I guess it'll be too much hassle and cost (comparative to other wheels) to swap out the hub for an 11speed...
