Or use the standard PH response - get an MX5.
Really, Diz seems to like Aero style frames, so a "steel" or Titaniun build may not be best suggestion. Although, its Dizzee (whom I suspect is really OKGO's alter ego trolling account) so tomorrows thread will be about Passoni. I think deep down he'll want this:
S5 suggestion too ubiquitous.

Aero wheel set - 750
If you loved the Merak why not just get another or something with similar geometry?
The frame set is discontinued and being replaced by the Idol, which I don't like at all. It has no rear scoop and just is not a bike I find aesthetically pleasing. If you loved the Merak why not just get another or something with similar geometry?
There are some red and white Merak frames knocking around but I would want nothing other than the green lined frame - which are all sold out and those that are left are not suitable size wise.

Problem is I really loved the Merak frame and would re purchase. I have decided against the Cipollini, it would be lovely but as mentioned probably not practical or wise from a value point of view.
Another strong contender is this years Cervelo S3 with Ultegra, which I can get for £3k. And yes it is the aero qualities I look for for the summer bike. Fondriest are another brand I am considering, but unsure how they ride.

Love to Hate in 19h 49m, good going even for you.
Dare I suggest over the next few weeks, whilst awaiting settlement, you do your thinking in your head first rather than openly on here?
Good lad.
I can only speak for myself but I cant wait to hear about next weeks heart-stealing, breath-taking, gash-moistener... Dare I suggest over the next few weeks, whilst awaiting settlement, you do your thinking in your head first rather than openly on here?
Good lad.

I really don't know why people talk of spunking 2 or 3 grand on a frameset don't do this initially!
Fit doesn't matter. It's how it looks. Sure, you might be comfortable riding for 6hrs but if it doesn't have a thin green stripe, bladed spokes and the all important UCI compliance what's the point?EddH and I were discussing the merits of buying an aero frame for the summer and we suspect Dizeee is wasting his money going down this avenue. As air density decreases with the warmer temperatures, it makes more sense to buy an aero frame and build up a winter bike when air density is increased with the extra moisture in the air. I think this could be the next big thing after 28" mtb wheels...

I think I have found a frame for almost half the price I paid on Chain Reaction so going to wait and see what happens tomorrow when the insurance company send their inspector round.
Jokes aside, good luck! Let us know how it goes, will be interesting to hear how they come across (the inspector)Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
