What forecast is everyone looking at confused

My interweb is telling me that it's going to be largely calm and dry!
The Met Office- Rain 4am-7pm winds are backing and turning to easterly 8-15 gusting 30. 14-16degrees "feels like" temp.

Just picked up my pack from Excel and had a walk round the show. Few bits but nothing major.

Seriously - that was the worst "bike" show I have ever been to.
There weren't any actual bikes for a start.
And why would a charity have a stall? What is the point of that?

Pretty smooth pick up of documents though.
If anyone was worried about picking up more than one set for friends - unless the numbers are right next to each other you should be fine. Or just wait a bit and go back I guess.

I agree, I picked a High5 race pack for £5 which was good along with a bottle of no alcohol beer to drink as I walked round but that was about it. No bikes as you say but good for any last minute kit. Quite fancied the idea of a sports massage but needed to get back to the office.

On my way to it now. May well pick up some bits and bobs.

Just as well there's no bikes there. I might have done something silly.

I may just do something silly if I can't get my nice bike working right in time.... Grrr

can i request that anyone who cycles to the registration, once they arrive there, please take off your helmet.

there were quite a few walking round the show with helmets on. for some reason that irritates me. perhaps it is because i have an aversion to looking at tw@ts.

There were some bikes actually, opposite the collection kiosks.

I might have stroked a Lightweight Urgestalt.

The other day I deliberately left Evans because they had a Supersix 105 in my size. £1299 and 0% credit...

Can anyone give an estimated time for the event on Sunday to be in and around Kingston / Surbiton / Richmond area? Keen to to watch from the end of my road but not going to sit there from 5am!

Cheers in advance

I would imagine from about 6:45am onwards, maybe a little earlier as it really is a race out of London down to Richmond.

Out of curiosity, are the earliest start times for the fast boys to get them round without dawdlers getting the way, or for the not quite so fast riders to get them round and off the course in time?

I was wondering that but I know 3 other people doing it who I would think would all be considerably faster than me, 1 is starting before and 2 are starting after. I'm sure there is a method to it but I haven't a clue!

All I know is that I wish I had an earlier start time than 7:40, could do with as much time as possible!

Faster riders go off first... and over the first few miles everyone should fall into groups that ride at a simoilar pace

Not true that faster riders go off first. My GF will do about 14mph average and is off at 6.30am. I'll do 19-20 and am off at 7.50. We both did it last year and both provided actual times when we applied.
