0800 around the start line then? long range forecasts suggest coldish but dry, about 6-10c and so' westerlies...
Don't be daft.

It's you and me. We don't do dry!

There will be a hurricane heading a cross the Atlantic which will hit Northampton next weekend biggrin

Nothing like a warm and sunny ride but I do quite like a crisp, cold and dry ride. That'd be ideal conditions for the new PH winter jerseys.

For those of us staying at the Travelodge, should we coordinate taxis to the Italian?

Also are we decided on an 8am start?

That will mean getting to the circuit as soon as we can to get registered.

Finally, the weather is looking dry with just light winds!

See you all at the weekend.

I'll be staying comfortably below the limit on Friday so I can take five in the Scooby.

Early start works for me. Registration at 7:30, giving me 30 minutes to faff with safety pins and undertake two power-to-weight sessions before 8am.

If it's mild it may be the summer jersey for me. The Winters are currently at Munich Airport and due to arrive on Wednesday so I may sneak out for a test to see how warm they ride.

Well, I'm having a fun few days.
Not only did I get hit by a car whilst cycling to the garage to pick up my car (nothing serious, no damage done - possibly due to my Kryptonite PH cycling top smile)only to find that its new exhaust didn't fit, I got to work this morning to find that I'm now working this weekend and will no longer be able to take part in the sportive.
Had a feeling it was coming but was rather hoping I'd get away with it.

Anyway, have good time guys and hopefully I'll get to meet up with you at a future event.

I'm still on for this weekend. Have ordered some overshoes and crud roadracers to ward off the rain. Hopefully the jerseys arrive in time!

Weather's looking "ok" so far; should be good! Travel lodge is only 10mins from the circuit so looks ok to me - registration for 07.30 ready for 8am start? I'm sure I'll see you all in the carpark saturday morning anyway smile (I'll be getting in late so won't make dinner friday night)

The route goes past my house at 17-ish miles in and my usual 'out the door' time at the weekend is about 9. I'm planning on riding most of the long route - my long rides are usually solo, but it's nice to have a bit of a chat with others when I can, so if I happen to see any PH jerseys I'll be sure to say hello.

Broster, I saw you mention you're in N'pton so I had a look at your profile. I rode the last part of the Quattro back in April with you and Ben (he was suffering after 1 gel too many!). Is he coming along? Not seen much of him on Strava lately?

Winter jerseys have arrived and been forwarded on to everybody.

We'll have to remember to get a team photo at the start. This will be the largest gathering of smileys to date.

Hello, am I right in saying you had a puncture?
Bens not been out much, he's busy working and moving house, we try and get out twice a week but it doesn't happen. He can't make this weekend either due to work.

Yes I did, about 10 miles from the end! Still, gave me a brief break from riding into that sodding headwind!!

Ah, shame Ben can't make it, still (sometimes) other things have to take priority I guess. I've seen him a couple of times now on a Sunday halfway up a building when I've ridden through Towcester.

Rice cakes are now setting in the fridge. Trying some new flavours: fig, bitter chocolate & sea salt and Bounty.

Are we meeting up tomorrow anywhere in particular? I think there will be quite a few people there....

We should aim to get there for the venue opening and try and get registered as soon as possible for a 8am Grand Depart.

So, if we all congregate around the start point 10mins early for photos and autographs, that would be good.
