Ahhh!

So it's not so much a 'discount' as redeeming the points you've already earned. And in my case, spent on other things already...

Pretty important assembly point:

For the non-drive side crank arm bolt - the bolt that attaches the LH pedal arm to the bottom bracket i.e. the spindle at the bottom of the frame - use Threadlock (Loctite Blue or similar) prior to tightening it up with the 8mm allen key.

Drive side (RH) doesn't need it.

The LH bolt may well work loose otherwise.
If it is correctly tightened it will not come loose. We sold hundreds of bikes with square taper cranks from our shop in the '80s and early '90s and had zero returns with loose cranks.

What torque would you recommend for a square taper BB bolt?

It's twice happened to me now, hence the recommendation to use Threadlock.

No surprise really - a real Billy-bargain at that price. Possibly helped by being on the 'Hot UK Deals' e-mail thingy today.

There's none of the symbols on the page exculding it from the 30 day return, however boxing it back up will keep you entertained smile
If you add it to your basket for pickup etc, then it says it's excluded
Surely Distance Selling Regulations apply - anything you buy mail order can be returned, by law.

"The Distance Selling Regulations state that your right to cancel an order starts the moment you place your order and doesn’t end until seven working days from the day after you receive your goods."

We has an 18" breaker bar, used that to tighten them up, until they were bloody tight. Not very scientific, but with a failure rate of zero.

Well it looks like they've all gone, didn't get one. The GF was unsure so she's missed the boat. Will keep an eye on eBay, they could be a second hand bargain when the novelty wears off.

I’m sure loads were bought by chancers looking to make a few quid; a new one is for sale on eBay for £495 already!

I got one. Quickly assembled it and took it out on Saturday for a short blast. First impressions are great. it needs setting up properly as the gears aren't perfectly adjusted and the selector cable was slightly too long causing it to interfere with the pedal arm (whatever that's called), but these are just minor issues really. The bike was also missing an allen key small enough for the bolt on the seat post clamp, but most people with a bike will have one of them.

I don't really know how to review bikes, but it feels faster than my Carrera Zelos, if that helps.

It will be, its 1/2 the weight of the Zelos.

Going to set it up properly when i get home and take it for a short ride, just waiting for my wiggle order to turn up now and the i will take it for a decent ride.

I have a 55cm one sitting here in a box, but am not sure about sizing - suspect it will be too large for my son.

What is the fit like for those who have already set them up - how tall are you, which size have you got and is it too big / too small or just right? (I know it can be adjusted so the saddle is low enough for him - 5ft6 at present, still growing, just concerned about reach and whether i will need to go to a silly short stem?)

Just get a short stem, he'll grow into it and a 60mm stem costs buttons.
