All 10,000 places sold out already. They've just released 1,500 more.

Still some space as I managed to book a place this morning... staying at MiL's near Blaenavon the night before so there will be a PH cheer team at the top of the tumble!

Looks like it might be a bit quieter than RL100

120k is £55, or £44 if you use ROADCC as the voucher code
Where do you put the voucher code? confused

That code only worked for the first x number of bookings. Give it a whirl but I'd be surprised if it was still live.

Ah right, thanks. I would give it a go, but there doesn't appear to be anywhere to enter a code, at least not that I can see...

Seems like the 'closed road' element wasn't locked in or has the potential to be vetoed by the local council.

Indeed. I wasn't too impressed when I spotted that last night. If the roads aren't closed, I'll be wanting a refund. The route itself is largely nothing special and will be little different to any other open road sportive.

I'd rather fully enjoy my friends wedding on the Saturday if the roads aren't closed. drink

Seems odd because my Mother in Laws house is close to the route and they have allready been advised of the closures and the diversions etc

I've gone and booked a weekend break in Wales around the event, off the back of it being closed roads. Doesn't make sense to cancel if that changes but I'll not be impressed. I chose this over the Etape Cymru (much better route) specifically because it was a closed route. I wonder how many others will be spending tourism money in the area for this event?

Early Bird entries have opened for 2016

I noticed it's possible to start as a team, all in the same pen, so I created the imaginatively titled PistonHeads team. Estimated completion time (for pen allocation purposes) of 04:00-04:30.

If anyone else also thinks Velothon would be even more fun as a team, you can put that down when you register. Even if we split up when the climbing starts, it'd make the start more social.

If not, it'll just be me and Pablo. So sign up anyway or he'll be pulling all the way round...
