Yep, put in 120psi...
When you do get your pump don't just whack the pressures straight up to maximum/120psi, put them at something suitable for your weight and tyre size.

Gatorskins make a fine back tyre, but I won't have one on the front.

Depends on quality of roads you ride on & weight of rider

I'm 65Kg and run my tyres around 95psi in Wilts, the roads are st quality and the top layer is very broken and rough

In Cornwall the roads were much much smoother so went upto 120psi

I'd start @ 90 psi and work up until you find a happy medium

So, the pump has arrived complete with complimentary bag of haribo - I love wiggle.. anyway both tyres were at 70 psi. I've banged them up to 120 for now and will see what they are on Monday. Not had chance to see what difference it makes on a ride but im hoping for good things. smile

the difference will be very significant with twice the pressure!

Get a track oump. It's the most important tool on the box.
Unless you're on a carbon bike... then I'd say a good torque wrench wrestles number 1 spot from the track pump hehe.

Its not carbon im afraid, its a halfords cast iron special. Apparently its alu but I don't believe it.. and I have two decent torque wrenches.

I think the next piece of essential equipment will be a 105 groupset. This bike iz going to turn into triggers broom.

Maths fail wink

120 probably too much if you're not a heavier bloke btw. Might feel a bit crashy.

So now you have a new pump with a pressure gauge what did they turn out to be running previously?
