That's a bit weird and might reduce the choice a bit, this website shows a couple of suitable looking Specialized's in her price range. We'll take a look in the Guildford one and if she still wants to look at stuff without ordering in use it as an excuse for an hour's ride on the other bikes to the Gatwick over the bank holiday. I suspect it's because Cycleworks stock Specialized. And by stock I mean they push.
You can buy very little that isn't specialized in that shop.
I'm not one to suggest going there and then ordering from Evans. But do that. They're not really a LBS, more an extension of Specialized anyway.
