Another what new/used road bike £1-1,500?
Discussion
I would like a new (or new-to-me used) road bike. I currently have a 20-year-old Bianchi Campione D'Italia which I've owned since around 1997 and whilst in fairly good nick I want to retire that to bad weather/pub/trip to the shops rides.
My current riding consists of 3-4 days commute a week (A road, 15 kms each way) and a weekend ride of 20-40 kms subject to when the numbness in the right leg starts, leading to no feeling in my right foot. I want to lengthen the weekend rides and I'd like to try a sportive. I've never had a bike fitting.
My company offers the C2W scheme. I like the look of Italian bikes. My budget is £1,000 to £1,500.
Over to you chaps...

Had the same dilemma myself and got a Wilier Izoard XP. Seems to tick a lot of your boxes. I haven't got it out of the box yet (hell I don't even need it as it no better/worse than my Spesh Tarmac)- but you can't argue with the look of the thing).
Originally I was looked at Kuota Korsa Carbon. Might have been the better choice as I have ridden the non-carbon one quite a bit on hire in Mallorca and know it fits well- but there is so little on the web about them that I went for the Wilier instead.

Have you done any research your self? As you rightly pointed out, these threads come up a lot and there are always lots of suggestions.
The big brands have nearly all launched their 2015 range, so bargains are available.
Have a look at the Specialized Tarmac or Giant Defy ranges. I've had a Defy for four years and its been pretty good.
Personally, I would go for a new bike at that price range. Have a gander at the Planet X RT-58 and RT-57. Very good value for money if you can get over the badge, which some people can't.
