One thing that could have impacted deliver is that the ferries company's that transport it have reduced a year or so ago meaning that costs have gone up and frequency has decreased.

The picking system seems to have slowed down which would flag to me they are prioritising volume out to northern europe over UK.

I only noticed their 365 day return recently, and I've brought forward a plan to buy a new frame so the 26" rims I bought last Nov and this Jan (yes 2 orders) I wish to return. I 'phoned them a couple of days ago and they were VERY helpful, even finding the number of the first order as I had no record of it. If the rims go back via Collect+ ok, and I get refunded I shall be absolutely delighted.
I've always found their service very good.
Update.... A few days ago I ordered some new 700c rims and other parts - 2 days later they arrived. Great. The 26 "rims I returned via Collect+ free of charge (I'd have happily paid, as it was my mistake!) arrived bach with CRC and the refund went to my Paypal account within hours.
I'm VERY impressed with their service, and they(and Planet X) are my first place to look when I want parts.
I can only think any delays could be out of their control, so it is difficult if they have advertised (and cust has paid for) 1 day delivery. My suggestion is to plan ahead wherever possible and just go for standard delivery.
  • **Thanks CRC for refund due to my balls-up, and after such a long time*****

I've not been so lucky lately.

1st Sept (Monday) ordered a new BB, wanted it for Thursday so paid the extra for express delivery, turned up Friday. - by contrast with SuperStar I was able to order some brake pads, have them delivered, realise I'd ordered the wrong ones, return them AND for them to deliver the correct ones before the BB turned up.

24th Sept ordered some elbow and knee pads for my Lad's birthday this weekend, a week later and no pads - they've sent another set, which hopefully will arrive today or tomorrow - they upgraded it to a tracked service at no extra cost - but they can't give me the tracking number...

Time was, you ordered by 5 and it would ALWAYS arrive the next day, I used to look at the express delivery option and think "why?", then they went through that phase of packing everything in ludicrously big boxes - I guess they lost their super fancy packing machine in the flood because they seem to have stopped doing that.

They're still great, but I wonder if they've not grown their operation with their sales - they really are massive now - I remember being in Canada and talking about getting some cheap tyres and the guy saying "yeah, they're not too bad, not as cheap as Chain Reaction though"

I'm waiting for a bike to come from CRC, I can't find an estimated time, or even a rough indication anywhere of how long they need for "processing" before they send it out.

Typically, after I wrote that I got the despatch notice, so I guess I'll get it tomorrow/Wednesday.
