Has anyone here used a SJ4000 who can comment on them compared to the various GoPro's available?

Can't comment but lack of replacable battery and camera built into housing is making me lean towards the SJ4000.

I've used the SJ4000 on my motorbike and have no problem with it. GoPro compatible mounts, 1080p, built in screen (which the new £99 GoPro doesn't have)

Standalone battery chargers are now available, so I'd grab a couple of extra batteries if you're planning to record a lot.

Got an SJ4000 and am very impressed by it, doesn't have all of the features of the GoPro but I find the video quality to be more than acceptable.

Had to purchase a different bar mount from ebay for £4 as the one that came in the box didn't hold the camera very well.

The SJ4000 Wi-Fi is also available for under £80 if you shop around.
Will give live view and a couple of other functions - probably not as smooth as the gopro interface but depends what you want it for.

Just bought one last night; not the Wi-Fi version though. If they are as good as suggested, I'll be happy.

I have the SJ1000 which I'm not sure how different it is to the sj400 but I'm pretty happy with quality of output. The only let down is the quality of the accessories and mounts that it shipped with, rather than having 10ish poor mounts they would have been better with one good one. With the 4000 being compatible with the GoPro ones I would imagine you'll have no issues getting good ones.
