New Danny Macaskill The Ridge
Discussion
Personally don't think this is a patch on the first one. Scenery wise and qaulity wise it's amazing but in terms of jaw dropping riding, bar the fence, it doesn't do it for me. In fact I found the most mental bit was when he walked up that turret, walked.
The problem is that it's hard to keep doing stuff that leaves people in awe on a trials bike once they have seen it I've or twice. He is going to keep doing these like Ken Block but they won't get any better than the first one for me as that was the first time I had seen a lot of that stuff. Riding down rocks is fine but there are others out there doing it and doing it with less regard for safety. Nothing new in that to me, stick to trials Danny.

There's a documentary about the making of the video on BBC Scotland Friday 19:30. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04kntlk

As a sailor, I was thinking "you are going to drag that boat up the beach a bit or tie it off on a suitable rock aren't you Danny?" And at the end, quelle surprise, his boat is nowhere to be seen, no doubt having drifted off on a rising tide.
Pfffft. Amateur.
Not just me then!Pfffft. Amateur.
All I could think when he lifted the bike out of the boat was "painter line, Danny! Tie off the painter line!"
But yes, on watching the video through a second time, it becomes obvious that it's not the same beach
