I think I'll keep riding my RM Blizzard all through the year. I ride over open moorland with tussocks and bog and it really comes into its own there, it's not just snow where it's good.

I raced it at the Strathpuffer as well, and it performed really well. It's a stiff frame but the tyres at a reasonable pressure kept things comfy.

I have however just gone 29+ up front of my new (to me) frame - a Stooge. The 3" tyre should make things fun and grippy, and it offsets having a rigid fork somewhat.

Switzz Fat Bike with electric motor: whoah, bumps and potholes are for pussies. Had a go yesterday and this thing seriously rocks. Quick!

I find myself quite drawn to fatbikes. They look like fun.

I've got a Specialized Fatboy, love it, it's amazing to ride. Much prefer it to my Giant Anthem redface Only changes so far is the saddle to a Fizik Tundra2, because I managed to bend the Henge it came with redface

Love these, it's one of those things that you just need to try for a week before committing though.
Done just over a thousand miles on it now, two 24 hour races and numerous other shorter excursions and still think it's a great piece of kit. Sold the Anthem as it just wasn't getting used. It's great in the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales, rocky sections it's very good with as long as you don't try to go too fast as it can bounce out of control.
