Bermondsey, London Bridge. I usually head east or south-east, through Greenwich, Erith, Welling etc. I've perhaps been a bit unadventurous having found a couple of routes that are more flowing, but I'd love to add some new 50-60km routes.

People you pass who then when you stop at red traffic lights ride on through without slow or hesitation in any way.
.....and then I have to pull out to overtake them for the third time...then they swan through the next red light, pissing off all the motorists who are waiting for the lights to change so they get more aggressive...then we all set off again and for the fourth time I catch up on them and have to overtake....and repeat....

Really irritating.

Try swinging a little further south, towards Chislehurst or Bromley area (or beyond if you have time). Once you get past the A232 in particular, there is some decent riding down there without having to venture past the M25.

Thanks for the tip. I've found some cracking riding from Dulwich out to Westerham and back via Biggin Hill. That's become a new regular 65-70km route. Very nice to get to the good stuff within 45 minutes of riding.

This. It's not just London either. And they always pull in to the front of you at the lights. Is it because road bikes don't have low gears, or is it because middle-aged assclowns haven't bothered to learn the basic techniques for using their expensive new toy?

This is my local area, there's some really great riding inside the m25.

Ouch - hope all heals up soon.
