Road cycling- what to do with drinks and tools
Discussion
On the road bike, one of these in a bottle cage:

I carry a spare tube, a multi-tool, a CO2 inflator and spare cylinder, tyre levers, a pack of scabs, pair of nitrile glove and a few £ in coins.
On the MTB I use one of these:

The same is in it except for the CO2 inflator and spare cylinder, instead I have a pump mounted under one the bottle cage.

I feel my camelback might not be appropriate for roadie use. I'm sure I'm probably breaking one of the rules. Thoughts?
Rule 32 budcheers all. Looks like I need to invest in some new bidons and some bottle cages. Want some that aren't overtly branded though. Saddle pack looks like a good idea. can't remember the last time I rode a bike without something on my back, will be quite liberating! what to do with my pump though? Can you get mini ones that fit in a saddle pack?
I know it gets sweaty but I always have a small backpack on.
Don't use a bottle in a cage anymore as it tends to get filthy (REALLY filthy).
Bag contains drink, chocolate, tube, puncture fix, fold up tyre (for if I really screw it up!), OS map of area I'm riding in as I like to change my mind and still getting to discover some of the tracks around here, money and phone. Oh, and my tobacco tin, papers and lighter .......which really needs to change, working on it though did a 50 miler off road without my tin
Another reaon for the pack is that if going out early I like to be warm, so I take my jacket. Once I'm warmed up then jacket goes in there too.
Feels odd riding without the pack. Almost like not wearing a seatbelt in a car. Irrational? Possibly

I have a small saddle bag for a spare tube and tyre levers etc but I had nowhere to put things like gel pouches, jelly babies and my phone, until I found the Alpkit Fuel Pod.
