Thread resurrection, maybe, but Louise Robinson, XCracer Team Rider and second placed rider in the 2Hr Female category has submitted this report on xcracer.com...

If you've checked out the pictures on Louise's blog (above), you'll know what I mean when I say I'm glad I wasn't the only one to suffer shredded brake pads on the day!

That reminds me - ive been meaning to sign up to round 2 on the 14th. Shall i start a new thread for that - we'll see if we can get a few PH'ers?
Wondering if i need to get some mud-spec tyres ordered, unless its guaranteed there will be no rain for the next 10 days...
Start a new thread, or continue this one? I don't know - your choice. But do remember that the closing date for entries for Round 2 is Tuesday 09th December. If you haven't paid and registered by close of play (I think it's midnight, but not sure) on the 9th, then you won't get to ride.

As far as I know, mud tyres are not essential items for Tunnel Hill. I've only been up there a couple of times, but for the most part it seems to drain well, with a few specific spots that hold water in large puddles. One comment from a fellow Strava user...

Are you doing the tunnel hill one ? Will certainly be less expensive on components and it drains far better than minley !
