Strava queens. "KOMs, Segments, PRs!" Want to show how fast you are? Pin a number on, or STFU.
EDIT: And sportive wkers. Ride them, fine, they can be good fun. An all-you-can-eat buffet with a bike ride in the middle and someone else worrying about the route. But for the love of God, remember it's not a fking race, and that no-one cares if you "smashed the field". Again, to demonstrate ones prowess at said field smashing, see above...

Do sportives not use numbers? I do agree though.EDIT: And sportive wkers. Ride them, fine, they can be good fun. Lad in our work has recently took up cycling and now bugs the sh!t out of me with his Strava segments he conquers on his ride to work. As my eyes glaze over he still waffles on about how awesome it was to get a KOM on some pIssy incline that a child could ride on a catalogue BSO. STFU seriously!
Crap road surfaces are what really annoys me at the moment - Friday night, one front light got rattled off its mount by vibration from the road and my main one was flicking through its different modes - and that was on an A-road! Stupid council keep going in for that road planing or whatever it's called when they put tar down and chippings onto the top to 'resurface' sections.

It's called top or surface dressing, and it's cheap. And carp.SkinnyBoy said:

We're in oz so naturally. It's the hilarious speeds he claims to get on the flat. Never seen the evidence of said velocities mind you. I've a good mind to follow him home and make him really work for the ride, subtly ramping up the V till he drops. That should shut him up hahaWatchman said:

I know I bhed about my LBS but this takes this piss.
Dropped my bike in to have the Shock and Fork serviced along with my dropper post.
I was told it was going to take a week and cost about £160 - but they would get back to me with the actual price.
Numerous phone calls chasing them - a litany of excuses around suppliers/SRAM/Fishers/tuners.
Anyway I get a phone call this morning - my bike will be ready tomorrow a mere 5 weeks after I dropped it in and the price for servicing 3 items a bargain at £375.
There will be an 'interesting' discussion with them tomorrow about this.
That would make me sick. It's why I do my own maintenance. Not because I can't pay - I just don't like to think I've been bent over.Dropped my bike in to have the Shock and Fork serviced along with my dropper post.

That was until I noticed that the reverb seatpost (just serviced at £££) was pissing Dot 5.1 fluid from out of the remote and the post didn't work.
Then having hit a set of big doubles and realised that the bike didn't feel 'quite right' I noticed that during service they had arbitrarily decided to reduce the travel from 170mm to 160mm.
Oh, and the rebound adjuster was also missing.
Quality service right there...

Dot 5 in a reverb??? Hope not fella, uses fork oil. If they have put dot 5 in it its a write off.
Yes, you are correct of course. I don't think even they are that inept.yonex said:

That's terrible. This is why I take care of my own kit and only work off of recommendations. Hope everything can be rescued.Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
