I've got a fluid 2 and its great, loads more resistance than the old magnetic trainer I had before give a much harder work out.

Regards sensors, I just got a new road bike so got the new garmin speed and cadence sensor kit http://www.wiggle.co.uk/garmin-speed-cadence-senso... and I don't advise it if you put the bike on a turbo trainer it kept dropping the signal and flicking to stationary GPS even indoors, the old style with magnet I never had this problem, works much better http://www.athleteshop.co.uk/garmin-speed-cadence-... .

Well, for the first 5 minutes I used it, was impressed. Quite smooth to use.

Then a crack, I get thrown off and this happens

Arranged with Wiggle for a return, hopefully that'll go smoothly.
Oh that's not good!

I really want the Edge 810 but need to save, so in the mean time I've ordered one of these looks really good and it's less than £50 so I can stay married wink

What will you replace it with? Assuming you don't just get another one exactly the same.

I'll get the same one again, this may just have been a defective unit. Bit unfair to judge it on 5 minutes use.

Wiggle claiming I damaged it and refusing the honour the warranty frown

Guess I have to buy another, it won't be from Wiggle though.

What happened exactly?

It does seem odd for it to break like that...

Not sure. I set it up as per the instructions, checked my tyre pressures and started riding. 5 mins in, heard a crack and it gave way as per the picture. I wasn't being a dick or using it the wrong way, just cycling and going nowhere 😄

Strange Wiggle are normally pretty good.

Personally I would challenge back and state as you have that you followed manufactures guidelines and the item failed, state the good old sale of goods act etc and just badger them, most places will either change their minds or give in eventually.

I sent them this video I made for my friend.

Maybe this will show them I wasn't being a muppet.

I've been following this thread with some interest as I am in need of a trainer for rehab after injury. I want one which can integrate electronically (ideally) with the likes of sufferfest, trainer road etc however I have no idea what to look for. I don't want to spend the earth however on the flip side, I don't want to buy something which I'll regret due to lack of functionality/integration.

have seen the elite qubo wireless range which looks good value for money but am not sure about build quality against TACX etc.

I've been trying to read reviews but one will say a trainer is good and the other will say that it has issues so not sure what to believe

Also, I'm in IOS which may make a difference.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated

When I did my research I'd heard that Elite weren't great. (Didn't expect the snapping the other poster got though!)

Gist seems to be between Cycleops and Tacx at the cheaper end

Have a read of DC Rainmakers site for a thorough guide

Better than anything the magazines put together!

Bugger me, the video worked. They've agreed to let me return it for an inspection. Its a step in the right direction.

i would think youll be fine, wiggle are normally good about these things and from the setup it shows your not a muppet.

Fwiw, I bought the Wahoo sensor too and it couldn't be easier to set up.

I went for it as is didn't want an ant based one as it's just for use with my iPhone.

Install per instructions and it's running with the wahoo app and trainer road just fine.
