I think they could have written a better headline tbh, when read it's not all doom and gloom and it actually seems like the road closures have been handled quite sensibly?! Typical local rag stuff though I guess?

Ah, OK. No race numbers or anything yet for the Gran Fondo though? Unfortunately I was a bit too slow and missed out on the TT.
According to the twitter feed on the website / fb page, Gran Fondo race numbers etc are being emailed this week! smilesmilesmile

They tell me that's impossible. It only pisses across in the Fens.

What times everyone getting there and what time are we all meeting and drinking the coffee bar dry?

I'm picking up Bedford Rascal on the way, so we'll be around for a meet.

Yep, 8.30ish for me too. Get registered and go back to bed in the van until 11.45!

Very tempted to set off 10 mins late and just ride through the back markers thus avoiding the carnage at the tight bend 5k in... Although I do have a race licence I only use it for CX so the idea of going harry flatters out of the front pens with a load of "enthusiastic" riders is slightly off putting. I want to do a good time but not stop unless necessary as my legs seize up if I get off the bike for a couple of minutes so it'll be 2 bottles on the bike and few sweets in the back pocket.

If any PHer's want free a free cuppa then look for a grey VW Transporter reg OV57### with the pop top up and I'll be there. It would be good to chat as its going to be a long morning wait.

Re. arrival time, probably around 8:30 too. +/- for traffic and my inclination on the day.

We could maybe meet in the food court post registration? Or at Bobley's bus, if it's easy to spot.

I think I'm going to be at the back of the pack here; might even have to leave my pistonhead jersey at home so I don't embarrass the team! Far too much work, far too many parties!
I've only squeezed in 168 miles in since start of March!!!

To think i have 110 miles of flat out in the fens to do 3 weeks after as well. Uh oh!!

1. Banana Boy - Most likely something yellow (I have a slight obsession with yellow tops...)
2. SixPotBelly - PH jersey
3. WinstonWolf
4. Gruffy - Black Rapha, pink band, fluro bars, glorious mane of blonde hair (PH top won't be back in time)
5. PeteB0 - Castelli Prologo/Gabba weather dependant
6. straight dad
7. j00pY - Decathlon aero 9000 bibs and top
8. pembo - Probably a Kellogs Cornflakes jersey
9. 3013buz - Yellow PH Jersey, DHB Bibs, Black CAAD10
10. JagBox
11. Celtic Dragon - in PH kit / Poss Velocio Sram Jersey with PH bibs.
12. skibum
13. ALawson
14. Bedford Rascal
15. Evosticks - most likely FLATB yeller jersey
16. Dontdobends - Team Lusso 72design Jersey and bib shorts
17. Bobley - Black boardman bike, black kit, "3T" jersey, black/flouro lid
18. BigBen - Grey / Red Scott bike, but most easily spotted by being a giant.

Just had the email confirming my rider number. Anyone considering riding an aeroframe, or wearing anything particularly streamlined need not bother

On the positive side, it should make for a good sail with a tail wind!
